Addicted to Dating…?

The only hot date that's halal.

The only hot date that's halal.

I know dating is haram but I can't seem to stop. As soon as I stop and say that's it, another dude comes into my life and I date again. I always get heartbroken and self harm even though I know what I'm doing is wrong. It's really hard for me to stop. That leads me to depression and I can't focus on anything. I'm usually thinking and crying. I really need someone who can guide and help me.

  1. Assalam alaikum,

Go and get some counselling. I think that you are jumping from one guy to another because you are looking to fill a void in you--You need to find the cause of the void. Even if you were non-Muslim, this isn't normal behaviour, this is one of the reasons for why I am suggesting that you seek professional help--also, self-harming is serious and requires professional intervention.

You are also struggling with impulse control--perhaps a professional can help you on why you are struggling with NOT being able to just say no, instead of giving into your desires.

May Allah swt ease your difficulties, Ameen.

  2. I just want you to know, you dont need men to make you feel better, wanted etc. You need love respect and trust in Allah. You should seek professional help in regards to self harm this is not healthy stop doing it. I know exactly how you feeling right now and understand the pain you feeling. Learn to control your emotions by getting professional help you will learn to control your emotional triggers and hopefully stop self harming. We all have up and downs in life main thing is you know this path is wrong, you can fix this and become a better person.

I strongly advise you NOT to get involved in any men before marriage CUT ALL CONTACT. Put yourself first and your health. Talk to someone in your family or someone you can trust and I pray that Allah makes this easy for you.
