Istikhaara for marriage
ASSALAM ALAIKUM,
I as H****** ******, I has engaged with my cousin in December 2009.
But I was broken in 2010 by some other problem. But my and their family began to rejoin again.
But before that I want to know that is this possible?
If it is possible, this is the correct decision for all of us or both of us?

I will be blunt. All of this about giving names and date of birth for istikhaarah is wrong is haraam. So please do not ask anyone else to do istikhaarah for you and certainly never provide names and dates of birth and these details etc. People may use these details to actually cause harm to you (via sihr) although I cannot verify this as I don't know about Sihr. Either way NEVER give these details out.
I or no other person can answer that question. Knowledge of the future comes from Allah swt Alone and NO PERSON, even if they say they can- can tell the future. So I strongly advise you to stay away from 'imams' or 'molvis' or any person who offers to predict a marriage. Sister this is shirk (Associating partners with Allah) as you are saying that people can have this knowledge which only Allah swt has. I hope you truly understand this.
However the Prophet SAW recommended that we seek Allahs guidance before deciding on a matter by reciting the Istikhaarah dua. This is halal and recommended if done the correct way, according to the Sunnah of the Rasool SAW. By doing this you are trusting Allah to guide you to the best decision, as only He (Swt) knows what is good for you. You and your potential spouse should both do istikhaarah. If Allah knows the marriage is good for them He will make it easy for them. Please read the links on Istikhaarah VERY carefully and encourage your sister to do it.

Do not ask a sheikh or anyone else to do it. The person who needs it should do it. Also in future please stay away from getting advice from any person who wishes to know your familys names or date of births. In some cases people use these for magic.
Also make dua for you to get the best husband.

mahbuba, istikhara will not tell us if you are pregnant or not. And your name and your mother's name are irrelevant. This is all misguidance and shirk. Istikhara is not based on names, or numerology. It is a prayer that one does to Allah for guidance. To find out if you are pregnant, see your doctor, or buy a home pregnancy kit.

Sister, we can't do istikhara for you, in fact no one should except you yourself should do it for you as it is about your future. So, read up on Istikhara on top of the page and perform it for yourself to see if this man is compatible with you.
