Kafar for sinning in the month of Ramadhan

Repent before the Day when Allah will Question you

Repent before the Day when Allah will Question you

Assalam aleikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

I am a muslim lady, and I am here today wanting to know the kafar for a sin which I committed during a day of ramadhan. My boyfriend and I met and we had a little chat, and we lost control on that day. We did some romancing, but then we realised we were about to commit adultery so we stopped ourselves immediately and we didn't finish our shahawat.

We both knew we sinned, and we want to repent for our sin. We have agreed that we wouldn't meet again in private until we are married. But for now we want to know what is the kafar for that day we did romance.

Shukran.

  1. Well, sometimes mistakes and sins
become a cause for people to be good
muslims and that by regretting them
and exert a lot of effort on righteous
deeds, so don't get desperate and in
Islam there's no loss of hope at all as
doors of repentace are always open, and
Allah would be pleased with his servant
    coming back to Him.
As you regret, that's the first step of the
    sincere repentance insha Allah. Then
you have to ask forgiveness while refrain
from doing so, with a firm intention not
to return. If you were in the age where
fasting was obligatory on you, then you
have to feed 60 poor or needy people as
Kaffara(to make up for violating the
dignity of the month of Ramadan).
Feeding can be achieved by giving all of
them one meal on one day only or
giving the value of a meal for all. I wish
    you good luck.

  2. AsSalaamu Alaikum Sister,

Were you fasting when you met with your boyfriend? If yes. Did you release "maniyy" while romancing? If no, then your fasting did not break, and therefore there is no kafara to be observed in your case, except a sincere taubah by you.

Let the starting point for the sincere taubah be, by ending the haram relationship with your boyfriend. As there is no bf/gf relationship in Islam.
