Pregnant with his child but losing my friend

I have a Muslim friend that I have known twenty years approximately. Before I began researching Islam we had already began a relationship. This is a year and a half ago. I am divorced and my exhusband was recently laid to rest. My friend allowed me to learn the ramifications of fornication of a Muslim, the fact he isnt supposed to have a girl friend and all. When he came home I tried abstinence for a while. I do love him and have made changes to accomodate his religion without yet converting. We are now expecting our first child together in October 2016. His first response was get rid of it, second thought was I am having an affair with someone else. I am not sure of his true intentions but all my children are living and I dont plan to change that with this one. I am friends and have family that did practice Islam worship for years and they feel he is being a coward and was just using me for financial and material upbringing. But I am afraid to lose him because i am so deeply invested. What can be done to help my child have both parents?

Your religious friend allowed you to learn the ramifications of fornication of a Muslim, the fact he isn't supposed to have a girl friend and all, but he also made you pregnant.
He is no friend of yours, just using you for sex and money. Don't abort the child. DNA test can prove paternity.
I agree with your family "he is coward and was just using you for financial and material upbringing". But I am afraid to lose him because i am so deeply invested. What can be done to help my child have both parents?
Leave him before he takes all your money.
