We are both 43 years old, should we try to have a child?

We are both 43 years in age, Is it good decision to try for child?? We have none and I desire family life or should we just concentrate on each other, and forget this dream?

  1. If you want a child, go ahead and try to conceive one. You're only going to have one if it pleases Allah. Who says age has anything to do with it? Pass child bearing age, is when you can't have a baby. If you try to conceive and it doesn't happen, well, I guess you're past child bearing age. Do nothing to prevent child birth and you've got your answer. Either you get pregnant or you don't.

    Just remember, your patience will be tried and tested and your marriage will change forever. Your life will change simply because you've added another person to it. How could your life not be different with an addition?

  4. You will be able to conceive a child insh'Allah, but from my embryology studies, I advise you to be careful because the defects of having a baby while the mother is above 35 years of age is very high. Make dua to Allah (SWT) that Shaytaan doesn't harm your child.
