  1. you did it outside of marriage? Then only Allah knows what the punishment will be , maybe you will face it here in this world , or maybe it will be saved for the last day, where it will be a lot more severe. Repent and never do it again , then Allah may forgive you , if you truly are regretful.

  2. If you are married women, repent to allah and give charity to the poor at your place, i heard hadit : once companion of prophet came and ask to him the solution of same problem, he said take a basket full of dates and give it to poor person at your place, companion said iam the poorest person in my place so allahs messenger replied take the same to your house you and your family eat to gather.

If your not married, you have done double sin, ask to mufti and find a solution, and you have to marry the same person with you did that.

  3. Bro Demise and Muhammed, I have a question as both of u are asking that ,was is out of marriage ,,, the question is if they do adultery then is the punishment marrying each other ? Or something else? I mean I want to know what is the punishment of adultery in Islam.?

  4. Thank you bro , I wanted to know this because one of my non muslim friend complained against islam about judgement.

    • rabiya, I removed the rest of your comment. Please be careful about spreading information on subjects you don't know about. The punishment in Islam for rape is lashing or even death, not to marry the victim. And "halala" is a totally haram and abominable practice.

  5. @rabiya basri "I read somewhere that in rape cases men are forced to marry the victim?? I think this is a good punishment." Are you beeing serious??? How on everything on earth is that a good punishment??? What about the victim??? Why should she marry her rapist???!!!!

  6. What is a "halala" ? and marrying the victim means, the person who rapes does not rape out of love and the marriage makes the man become responsible for that girl,,,,, there is different explanations , I told u that I read somewhere, it was may be 25 years ago, I am not good at Islamic explanation , that's why I asked u here, but marrying the victim happened in a village in our country, the rapist became too good after the marriage. And now if u ask why the girl married the rapist , in that case I have to find out that family and ask them. The boy got a good psychological treatment, which is like punishment.
And Bro Wael,, what about Hilla marriage that is wrtten in Quran?

    • rabiya, you keep talking about how making the rapist marry the victim is a good punishment for him. What about the needs of the victim? How on earth can you force someone who has been attacked and brutalized to marry the man who did it? The idea is insane. And it is not from Islam.

There is nothing about halala marriage written in the Quran. What you are thinking of is this: if a man divorces his wife, three times, the divorce becomes irrevocable, except for one circumstance: if the wife, through the passage of time, marries another man sincerely, intending to live with him and be his wife, and consummates the marriage; but if, due to whatever circumstances, that marriage does not work out and ends in divorce; then she is free to marry husband #1. This process must be sincere.

In modern days the wife marries another man with the intention of having sex with him and divorcing, so she can remarry husband #1. People call this halala. In reality is it completely haram, because it is corrupt. The second marriage is not sincere.

  7. Assalaamu Alaykum,

I just want to clarify something. First of all, I'm assuming you're married to be discussing intercourse. It's a sin to be suspicious, so I am assuming the issue of you having intercourse at all is not a problem.

The thing I want to clarify is, are you saying you did this INTENTIONALLY? This is important, because there are times that a woman may start her menses and not realize it, and only after having intercourse realize that it just started or she just became aware of it. My personal opinion is that this is not held against them, because it wasn't done intentionally against what's lawful. It's an accident that can happen to any well meaning person.

But if you're saying that you knew you were bleeding, and went ahead with sex anyway, yes that would be considered sinful and require repentence and whatever expiation applies (which I don't know, I'm not a scholar). Please know that it's certainly normal and even common for a woman to feel high levels of arousal during her menstrual time, but it's also permissable for a couple to engage in other forms of physical affection and satisfaction outside of intercourse that can meet their mutual needs at that time as well. Just because a woman is bleeding doesn't mean she can't be intimate at all. It just has to be modified to avoid what is haraam. She is certainly still free to pleasure her husband in other ways, as well.
