Andrea, since I don’t know your friend or the man she is dating, and I am only hearing a third-hand account of their relationship, it’s impossible for me to really judge what is going on. I will say that it is very rare for Muslims to convert to Christianity unless they have no Islamic education and little understanding of their own religion. Secondly, every real Muslim wants his children to be raised as Muslims as well.

I have a question more rather than a comment. My cousin is dating a man who says is Christian, but his parents believe he is still Muslim. He has never professed his love or faith in Jesus. He impregnated her but she still hasn’t met his parents. Now his whole family wants to meet her and his parents are wanting her to do some Muslim ceremony ASAP. What is this ceremony? And what do his parents really believe as far as her wanting to remain Christian and her unborn child to be Christian. He also is trying to get her to marry him and move in with his parents. What is really going on with this guy? He has lied about his religion, and even his nationality among other things. He at first said his dad was from Bandledesh, and his mom was Catholic and from Italy but converted to Muslim. That turned out to be a lie and both of them are from Bangledesh and have always been only Muslim. I’m worried that this guy is a pathological liar and has so much hidden from her.

I don’t understand your comment. Muslim people can love each other like anyone else. A Muslim, especially in the West, should marry a Muslim, and love him/her fully and freely.

Single muslim to find marriage in any western country is difficult. Personally my self as a young muslim have struggled…. even with my handsome looks I think people have resulted to trying different techniques to come across other muslims. There are social groups and I even tried online marriage websites, which was okay. Nice thing about islam as well is you do have family introductions which a few of my friends have benefited from. Who knows what the future holds. Allah kareem.
