Almost an equal number of people said "Sure, why not?" or, "No, it causes problems." There were many thoughtful and enthusiastic comments, although the great majority of the comments from the people who said "No".

YES, THEY CAN BE FRIENDS:
Islam prohibits anything that involves bad intentions. Have pure intentions... and do whatever you want.
Both of them are made for each other.

NO, THEY CAN'T BE FRIENDS:
In my opinion a women can be mother, sister, daughter or wife. The women have respect only with these relations.
There is always shaitan between them.
Brothers, it is HARAM, no friendship between man and woman in ISLAM!!!

Allah has not allowed that non-Mahram men and women freely associate with one another.
A muslim woman is not allowed to be friends with a man which is haram but if they want to get married is another case so i am saying that man and women can not be friend if there are muslims if not thats it.
No, they cannot. No where in the Islamic history has it been seen that a male and a female are friends. whether it causes problems or not, its not allowed. I can't understand that when the world is full of males as well as females why not girls find girl.
A man & a woman can never be friends, if she or he is a ghair mehram....Allah (swt) says in the Glorious Qur'an to lower your gazes......
Because they cannot control thier emotions most of the times.
Friendship can turn to special feelings and desire which can be disastrous if both are married.
As Muslims we have to obey and follow ALLAH's orders and keep the men & wemen relation guided by the ISLAMic concepts.
I would not like to have my wife to have any male friend except the person I could trust.

you believe in Islam. We are humans and satan is always with
us. Even if we try to be friends with satan's existance, dont
tell me you are perfect not to feel towards the other sex.

I personally think its Haram, but i'm not sure... actually i don't have any relations with any guys but i'd love to know islam's point of veiw in that issue...
