The time has come to think of human beings as resouce and not as liability.

The darker people of the earth are being told not to populate. Why is that?

Who are we to decide if there are too many of us? God is the one who brings the "rizq". one should be smart towards his/her own family. the rest is in the hands of Al-hakim. if we weren't too paraniod about our next meal we wouldn't ask this question.

Allaah made the world very spacious.

Please enlighten me as to how the massive popluation in the Muslim World is 'a source of strength'. I can tell you this is not the case in India!

There is population exploitation especially in developing countries.

If we are discussing the world's resources, the answer must be no. The world's people cannot be held responsible for the covering of the earth with cement by the capitalists when that earth could be growing food.

The results of this poll so far shows how successful the West has been in brainwashing us - the problem is not overpopulaation which is a source of strength for Muslim countries - as identified by West - but OVER CONSUMPTION in the West.

I live in canada and there is a lot of space here.

I think bad distribution of food is the problem, and I believe Allah knows this number of population would exist on the earth one day and I am sure He has provided enough resources for these population but the fault is the injustice of mankind.

World population is entirely in God's control. Every human being on earth right now, was meant to be here at this time. Therefore, I do not think that the world is overpopulated.

Who are we to set the population rates?

The world is designed by God to acommodate more.

Birth control should be encouraged in all countries where a majority of the people live below the poverty line.

This questions is ambiguous because there are large parts of the world such as rainforests which have low population densities compared with overpopulated areas like Calcutta etc.

Allah's realm is never too small but it is still big enough to accomodate more. It seems over-populated because men choose the area they want to be in. And if you look further, theres more space than enough. Allahu Akbar!

It seems to be overpopulated because all the resources are shared only between few countries of the north while the majority of the world population have what is left: this misery gives the impression that the world is overpopulated.

Birth and death are in the hands of allah with all the predictions of great number of people to be dead at a certain year because of aids cancer and other diseases not even mentioning of the millions that die of natural disasters.

World is over populated yes but islamic knowledge is less.

It would not be overpopulated if we could learn how to sustain ourselves and grow our accomodation of people as fast as the population itself.

It is not at all populated. The population need to be increased. It is all Shaitan plot to develop such thinking that world is populated. only means of communication increased that illusioned the human to understand it is populated.

The world is not overpopulated. If we could collectively adhere to the guidelines set forth by Allah (subhanahu wa ta'alla) in the Quran, we would see that there is room for everyone. Most of the $ are in the hands of a few, the rest have to squeeze.

Still there are many more places empty without any people.

I dont understand scholars who say 'have more children so we can have a larger ummah. We are already 1 billion, but have very little influence. If Muslims dont have faith, our massive numbers mean nothing but poverty.

As long as there is still empty lands out there that means that the world is NOT OVER POPULATED.

Asalamu alaiqum first of all i appreciate and admire in your devotion in explaining and giving the cure from todays problems. Allah is giver of abundance mercy.the rich and capable ones should feed the poor ones(sadaqah)! please make dua to me please!

When Allah allowed four marriages, the aim to increase ummah to fulfil the declining rate of birth in other communities around thr world. This century will witness great demographic decline in the West. This vaccum is to be filled by us.

ALLAH is there to ensure food and shelter to those who work hard. Agriculture outputs are multiplied to feed growing population.

The third world countries should come up with some practical solution to implement family planning and population control. As a result of over population there is very little chance for people living in those countries to make a decent living.

The wealth is in the heads of a few who don't want to make things better, instead of trying to make a better world they put 3rd world countries down and just want more and more money for themselves and waste too much food and resources everyday.

Birth, therefore human population is controlled by Allah. So is the population of evary living creature. If this is our belief then HOW CAN WE judge whether it is over or under populated.....Allah has not said that over, say, one billion is considered overpopulated.

There is plenty of space in Allah's vast earth for the world population. I understand there are more resources in some areas than others in the world. However if the Prophet s/a/w was able to live in the dessert, then why can't people spread out?

The world is not over populated. Most people happen to live in urban areas so it appears to be over crowded. If hoever the population was more dispersed, over crowding would not be a problem.

It's not over populated or else we would not have space to build or travel by road.

I have never understod why Arabs fell the need to get 10-12 children. Especially the poor families.

The world is not over-populated, control over lands by some governments is causing the crowd and letting certain parts to become over-populated. I think each citizen should have the right for free piece of land in his/her own country.

No, but I believe most Muslim countries are over populated, while most western countries are underpopulated. The problem is the fact that most of the resources are distributed to the west, where they are not needed nearly as much.

It can never be over populated because everything is the will of Allah.

I do not know whether or not the world is overpopulated, however I do think that each child bearing couple should be socially responsible in the number of children they have.
