Assalamualaikum wr wb,
Here are our wedding pictures. I
am Retno Biber, Indonesian. I am 21 years old and I married a
Bosnian. His name is Senad Biber. We married on 28 December,
2001 in my hometown calles Kediri in Indonesia.
We met in MIRC in one Islamic channel
and at the time we made a prayer to Allah to give us soulmates
as our life partners. Two months after we met in the chat, he
came and proposed to me and then on December 2001 he came to
see me. By Allah's blessing, on the first day we met, he asked
to marry me. Now we are living in Bosnia Herzegovina and working.
I also want to continue my study here in Sarajevo.
Alhamdulillah we met each other because
of our love for Allah. We never chose each other but we married
Inshaallah for da'wah. We have to help each other as life partners
to worship Allah.
Information about the pictures: first
pic is when the aqad nikah was performed in the Masjid and then
he gave me the mahr. For the mahr, I asked him to recite Surat
Ar Rahman 1-16 ; some jewelry and praying rugs, and a copy of
the Qur'an.
The others are our pictures taken
after we finished the aqad nikah. We have our own unique East
Javanese wedding customs, but we didnt follow these traditionals,
because some of them are not in Islamic shariah.
The last picture is we and my mom
also my brother.
It's nice to share the happiness
of our wedding here.
