Searching for someone to adopt our son (CLOSED TO COMMENTS)

Hello, my husband and I are looking for a home for our son. We were wondering if there is someone out there who is not able to give birth or who can't have more children is looking to adopt.

We are desperately searching for a home where his future will be secured. Please do not judge us.

Serious inquiries please.

  1. velezs45, this website is not an adoption agency. I am deeply concerned that you would use a website like this (or any website) to try to find parents for your child. The world is full of dangerous and crazy people. You can't make connections with strangers over the internet and hope they will be good parents for your child.

An adoption agency will screen any prospective parents to make sure that they have sufficient income, no criminal background, no substance abuse problems, etc. The adoption agency will visit the prospective parents in their home, and conduct follow-ups.

However, I very strongly urge you to consider placing your child with a family member. If you cannot care for your son at this time, let a qualified grandparent, sibling, aunt, or uncle care for him. At least that way you could still see him, and if you feel better able to care for him in the future you could take him back.

If you have no relatives who can do the job, then look to a close friend, someone whose history and character you know.

Lastly, why do you want to give your son away for adoption? If it's for financial reasons, then can you not find other ways to cut costs? If it's because your son has some sort of disability or behavior problem and you cannot handle him, then would you trust a stranger to do better?

I would really like to get feedback from you, but I know that if I allow comments on this post I will get comments from desperate people saying, "I'll take your baby!" and I cannot allow that. It's improper and just plain crazy. So this post is closed to comments. velezs45, if you wish to follow up or add comments, please create a new post and we'll add your comments on this post.

Also, I just noticed that there is a comment from you (I'm guessing it's from you, since it's from "Velez" at the bottom of this post from last month:

"I wanT to give my baby in adoption."

In response to your comment (which was removed, so I don't know what it said), our Editor SisterZ wrote:

    Velez,

This is not an adoption agency. Neither is it in the best interests of the child you are fostering/adopting for you to be 'bartering' his/her future on the internet. Do not ever write on this site again requesting for someone to take or adopt your child.
