Islamic marriage advice and family advice

I ask Allah with faith, to get me married to her; will Allah Accept it?

I'M A GIRL and I love another girl. She also loves me. But very soon we both are getting married, I feel very upset. I heard that if we have faith on ALLAH and ask something he definitely give us. So is it right to me to make dua for getting her?

  1. Hayaat Khan, Asalaamualaykum,

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 186: "And if My servants ask you, O Prophet, concerning Me, tell them that I am quite near to them. I hear and answer the prayer of the suppliant, when he calls on Me. So let them respond to My call and believe in Me. (Convey this to them), perhaps they may be guided aright!"

The All Knowing, All Wise Lord Knows what is good and what is bad for us; therefore, if one asks for something GOOD and LAWFUL, Allah will give him/her one of three things:

    1. Allah will give the believer what he/she has supplicated for.

    2. If what the believer is asking is NOT GOOD or IS HARMFUL for the believer in this world, Allah will store it for him for the world of the Hereafter.

    3. If what the believer is asking is NOT GOOD or IS HARMFUL for the believer in this world, Allah will turn away from the believer an equivalent amount of evil.

Sister - do you know that what you are asking for is NOT even LAWFUL, it is totally HARAAM, a MAJOR SIN. What you are asking is that Allah(swt) grant you with a homosexual relationship which is a major sin, so how and why would you expect Allah to give you this. If you choose to take it, this is not from Allah, this is a very sinful choice that you are making yourself and will be accountable for your choices in the Hereafter and in this life. All good is from Allah and any bad is from ourselves.

Allah has mentioned this severity of this sin clearly in the Quran. Allah(swt) says: “And (remember) Loot (Lot), when he said to his people: ‘Do you commit the worst sin such as none preceding you has committed in the ‘Aalameen (mankind and jinn)? Verily, you practise your lusts on men instead of women. Nay, but you are a people transgressing beyond bounds (by committing great sins)’” [al-A’raaf 7:80-81]

This ayah mentions the sin committed by men with men, it is the same for women with women - it is a major sin. But from the way you are speaking in your post, it appears to be that you may not be aware of this, or if you are aware, you appear not to care. Whatever the case, please do not think for a second that there is any way of making a relationship with another girl lawful in the eyes of Allah, it will cause you nothing but suffering and misery. But it is not too late. Leave this girl alone, move on, do tawbah and start correcting your way of thinking. Start attending some Islamic classes, learn about your deen, leave whatever is causing you to have these haraam lustful desires and keep yourself busy with family and good things.

If in the future, these feelings are not leaving your mind and that you are unable to marry a man, then do not marry at all, just keep yourself clean and busy with other good things. Although, I am sure that with some Islamic counseling and good direction, you will be able to get yourself back on track in'sha'Allah.

    • Oh my god i never expected this from a muslim girl. U can do only 1 thing now ask for forgiveness from the allah almighty.

  2. How can you ask Allah for something that's absolutely forbidden in Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, and every religion out there?! I don't know how you were brought up in Islam, seems to me that your parents didn't give you a good islamic education, but homosexuality is not natural, it's evil, it's goes against the laws of procreation. And don't even try to justify your so called love for this girl you want to marry.

Allah created Eve for Adam and not eve for eve, nor Adam for Adam

Look I don't know anything about your past, but as a muslim I can tell that you have been terribly mislead by shaytan. You are following him in the path of evil and destruction of al nafs (inner self). Please cut all relations with her. Repent to Allah for having any relationship with her. Stop all that you are doing and truly beg Allah to help you with this disease of the heart. You are created to complete another brothers deen. Allah created zowjan ithnan...basically it means a pair. Male with female, just like in the animal kingdom as well as in the plant kingdom.

Don't let all this bull on tv about legalizing homosexual marriages confirm and justify your feelings, thoughts and actions. It's all hyped up haram and deep down inside you know it's haram!

Listen, the path to hellfire is made so very easy for one to follow. Shaytan has a good hold on you. He won't stop bothering you until you stop all communication with this girl and go back to Allah in repentance with a humble heart filled with humility......change your life for the better, you will have a better life filled with joy and happiness. But only if you repent!

Read and learn from the story of qoum lout (story of Lot). Ask Allah to take this away from you, He will and give you something better in your life. Just take it one step at a time

Please keep us updated. You have a whole community of brothers and sisters who care about you and only want what's halal for you

    As Salam alayki ya oukhti

Divine judgment by Yahweh was then passed upon Sodom and Gomorrah along with two other neighboring cities that were completely consumed by fire and brimstone.
Sodom and Gomorrah have been used as metaphors for vice and homosexuality viewed as a deviation.
God Destroyed Sodom Because of Fornication and Homosexuality-

The mount of Sodom, a barren wasteland, rises sharply above the dead sea. No one has ever found the destroyed cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, but scholars believe that they stood in the Vale of Siddim across from these cliffs. Possibly flood waters of the Dead Sea engulfed them following an earthquake.231

One of the pieces of information regarding this destroyed city is-as revealed in Surat al-Hijr 76-that these cities are still on the main line. Geographers have identified this region as being on a line to the south-east of the Dead Sea, extending from the Arabian peninsula to Syria and Egypt.

We turned the place completely upside down and rained down on them stones of hard-baked clay. There are certainly Signs in that for the discerning. They were beside a road which still exists. There is certainly a Sign in that for the believers. (Qur'an, 15:74-77)

  4. Hayaat Khan, this was posted on my facebook, good timing, as I think it will help you in'sha'Allah:

    By Shams Adduha Muhammad

I'm reposting this quite deliberately and expect people to take it seriously.

Many of you would've heard about the recent scandal about Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad's statements about homosexuality some 15 years ago. He clarified his position here

We need to learn to tackle these issues without emotion and irrational hatred and prejudice while at the same time resisting the urge to be apologetic and not articulate our position clearly; thus withdrawing from an important debate that is essential to the future of human society.

At the same time, we need to be willing to help Muslims who feel that they are homosexual or are feeling homosexual urges instead pretending like this does not happen or cannot be. People who feel a particular way or feel an urge/attraction are not sinners until they have acted upon it; and while they combat it they are mujahids. And combat it they should. We need to be very clear about Islam's rejection of homosexuality as a way of life. This is an important debate that we should not back down from because of the gay lobby. Cambride Uni is now being lobbied to sack Shaykh Abdal Hakim because of his views despite the above clarification. Whatever happenned to freedom of speech and religion?

This brings us to the point of liberalism and secularism and the extent to which these ideas will successfuly be able to sustain a tolerant society in the face of lobbies that are not allowing us to fully debate important matters. We are beginning a shift away from these ideals towards the kind of intolerance that liberals and secularists have always accused religions of. Must we all be liberal to be tolerated and does tolerance equal liberalism? Something Shaykh Abdal Hakim deals with here.

Finally, I'll throw this one in too:

Many thanks to brother Khalifa for reminding me to bring this important issue up which actually has implications on many other areas.

Let's have a responsible and sane discussion about it here. Any bigoted views from either side will be intolerably excommunicated : ).

  5. Homosexuality? dear Lord! I just saw some so called Imam supporting homosexuality and that B.S. what's really going on? Adultery, porn, homosexuality....

And sister Hayaat sorry to tell you but what you asking for is totally wrong

  6. salam Hayat sister.

What your doing is a sin, as the rest have mentioned above. This sin can make you do many bad things, and guide you to more sins. Please please repent from this, and try to move to the right path which is to marry a man. As a man is made for woman and a woman is made for man. No one can fulfill the sexual needs of a woman, other than a man, and needs of a man other than a woman. Masturbate is Haram in Islam, your sexual needs are given to you by masturbating or some other way. I hope I am not offending you. But I just want to get to the point, how will you start your family when you want kids. If you decide on having kids, how will you get them. Sperm donar is Haram, and you won't consider it. It is hard for me to explain all at once. but plesae try to follow the right path.

  7. My dear sister Hayaat Khan,

Allah tests us all in different ways. Many people love someone they cannot be with, be it a haraam attraction to someone who is married, to someone of the same sex, or to someone who does not return affection.

I do not know the will of Allah, as to why these feelings are part of your emotions. Just know that everyone has trials and tests of different kinds and in all kinds of ways. Some tests are more clear cut as haraam, others are not so clear.

I do know what guidance Allah has provided, and that same sex relationships are haraam.

That does not eliminate or reduce your pain, but know that you are never alone. Turn to Allah, cry out to Him in pain, in your dispair. He will be there. But know that He will not change His guidance just for you. But in His mercy, if you turn to Him, He will reward you and judge you fairly on the Day of Judgement.

And you will always abide in His mercy and love. Every breath is a gift of His love.
