RELIANCE ON ALLAH AT ODDS WITH SELF CONFIDENCE
An inferiority complex is derived from a lack of confidence in Allah and oneself.
You should never allow yourself to believe that you cannot fulfill your obligations...

Self-confidence is borne from the Believer's intimate knowledge and understanding that Allah is ever ready to assist those who strive and struggle in His way.

Self-confidence comes from depending upon Allah and knowing that He is there to help you, protect you and shower His mercies upon you:

You must never allow yourself to believe or feel that Allah has treated you unfairly or that He has placed upon you a burden you cannot shoulder for{on no soul does Allah place a burden greater than it can bear.} {Al-Baqarah 2: 286)

{Those unto whom men said: Lo! the people have gathered against you, therefore fear them. But it only increased them in faith and they cried:. Allah is sufficient for us!

Most Excellent is He in Whom we trust!} (Aal `Imran 3: 173)

    For the Muslim, self-confidence is wholly dependent upon the trust one places in Allah;

Prophet (SAW)'s Prayers When in any difficulty
    Recite:
"O Allah, I hope for Your mercy, do not leave me for even the duration of an eye blink (duration) and correct my total condition. Besides You there is none worthy of worship".

    لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
"O Allah, there is none worthy of worship besides You. You are Pure, definitely I have oppressed my soul by sinning".
The Qur'an states that these words were recited when Yunus (A.S.) called upon Allah from the belly of the fish. Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) stated in a hadith that when any Muslim makes this dua via these words to Allah, then Allah surely accepts his duas.
RECITE THIS EVEN FOR CALAMITIES THE PROPHET USED TO RECITE THIS-“Subhan Allahi walhamdu Lillahi wa la ilaha il Allaho wallaho Akbar”

From reading your post, the first thing I think you need to do is learn to practise Islam. Your words seem so lost and despairing, but the greatest comfort is found by following Allah's guidance. If you've never read Quran or learned to pray, why not start? People can discover Islam even in their old age, and learn then, so there's no barrier to learning later in life - most reverts learn as adults.

Why not go along to your local Islamic bookstore (if you don't know where it is, you can probably find it by searching on the internet), find a copy of the Quran with Arabic and translation into your language (ideally with a reputable commentary or guide to understanding), and a guide to how to pray... Then get started. Your local mosque or community centre may well have study groups or courses on aspects of Islamic life and knowledge, so it might help to sign yourself up for those. They may also have some volunteering projects that you could join.

At the moment, finding a job is pretty tough, so make sure that you're presenting yourself as the best you can be. Eat well, make sure you're getting physical exercise, avoid alcohol (hungover or smelling of alcohol tends not to go down well at interviews), wear clean and smart clothes. If you've been getting lots of rejections, why not ask for feedback about why you didn't get the job (most companies will provide this if you ask), and maybe go on an interview skills course (a lot of universities offer these to for final year students and recent graduates) or ask a careers counsellor for advice.

Remember that in life we are all given tests, and it is in these struggles that we can grow as Muslims, by staying steadfast in our faith and striving to become closer to Allah.
