I can’t make a decision about my studies

Muslim school girls

Aslamalakom,

This site is really good. May Allah bless you for helping others.

I am a girl who finished school. I made several ishthikhara to choose a course at college. I believe that ishthikhara is about Allah's guidance more than considering signs and dreams. Finally I chose a course for which I felt good and I joined.

But feeling uncertain, I again performed ishthikara and last night I got a dream in which there was tornados around or near my home. Also in that dream, I heard from my dad that something bad happened to my cousin. What do you think? Should I go on with my decision, considering this as shaitan's way to discourage me? Please help me.

There is a website were some ulama are experienced in interpreting dreams ,go to (unauthentic website link deleted by the Editor)

    • Bashir,

I have removed the link because it promotes practices and beliefs which are considered bid'aat and khuraafaat by Ulama of Ahlus Sunnah.

      • Mawlana Bari,..

Since when did this site become Only Salafi answers ? #2 Since when did Salafists consider themselves ahlussunah ? I see you must not live in the UK or America because we have a thing called free speech. I didn't know this site Only "Salafi answers" were so biased.

        Thanks

        • Bashir,

Please do not begin a Sufi-Salafi debate, nor spread the misguidance on this website. And neither do I want to debate on this because it is among the qawaa'id of Ahlus Sunnah as Imam Ahmad mentions in his book: Usoolus Sunnah.

I do not live in the west and even if I did, my position would have been the same. Free speech is good if it is from the Quran and the Sunnah, when it comes to the deen of Allah. I urge you to correct your 'Aqeedah. RasoolullahSallallahu Alaihi Wasalam said that whoever sees something wrong happen should stop it with one's hand if one can, or should speak against it or should feel bad about it, and this is the least of Imaan.

Being an editor, it is my duty to block what would lead the people into misguidance, darkness and away from the deen of Allah. If you post any such link in the future, I will do the same.

Sorry for the tone, but this is the matter of Allah's deen and my Tawfeeq is only by Allah.

Again, please do not waste time promoting such stuff; people want advise, not misguidance. Wa Jazak Allahu Khair.

        • Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh

Bashir, if this Sufism was ever of any benefit, it would not have brought you to address Abu Abdul Bari in a sarcastic manner. This is enough proof that there is no such thing as purification in Sufism. Even the so called "pure" Sufi masters utter words of kufr. Yet the Muslims who believed in Allah and His Messenger and obeyed Allah and His Messenger are named vile names by the same people who claim to value purity and loving the Messenger so much.

"Have you not seen those who claim themselves to be pure? Rather, Allah purifies whom He wills, and injustice is not done to them, [even] as much as a thread [inside a date seed]."

It is thus clear that the only way to become pure is by obeying Allah and His Messenger, not following innovations. We love Allah and His Messenger!

  2. i think u shoud talk to a good aalim especially who interpret the dreams. inshallah u will find proper answer.

  3. Salaams,

You chose a course of study after making istikhara the first time. I am not sure why you felt that wasn't good enough, but the bottom line is that your dreams are only significant if they're significant to you. You should go forward with whatever course of study you feel most confident in, and trust Allah to guide you as He likes.

  4. In your specific case after already performing more istikhara - i don't know. but in general, once we make a decision then the decision is made we don't keep doubting it. Do your research, consult others, perform istikhara, make a decision and that's it.

  5. Assalamu alaikum,

To my view Istikhara dreams does not need interpretation from others. It explains whether a particular thing is good or bad.

If you could not understand a particular dream, then you can try doing Istikhara again and ask Allah to explain you more clearly about whether a particular thing is good or bad.

Once you make a decision based on Istikhara, you do not have to doubt it again.

    Thanks.
    Thaseen Ahamed
