QUESTION:

Dear Wael,

I am a mother of a woman who converted to Islam three years ago. My daughter is in Morocco and has married recently but now I'm getting a request from her that she needs a Certificate of Non-birth. Would you please explain what this is and how it would be obtained?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Dear Kathy,

I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with this certificate. I never heard of it before. Perhaps you could inquire at your local Moroccan consulate, or ask your daughter to explain further. What about you readers, have any of you heard of this Certificate?
