Can I marry another woman Islamically while going through civil court divorce?

Assalam O Alaikum,

I have given talaaq to my wife, her 3 month iddat is complete, and we are still going through our civil court divorce. Can i marry another woman islamically while the civil court divorce is still going through?

    Assalamualaikum brother Yazeed,

    Islamically, you were allowed to marry another woman, even without divorcing your first wife. So, you are allowed to marry another woman at this time, as per the Sharee'ah.

    Legal proceedings according to the law of the land is a different matter. May Allah find you a pious Muslimah, who understands you and will be the coolness of your eyes.
