Dream About Nikah With Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam

Seeing the Prophet in a Dream

Dreaming about the Rasool Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam

Assalam o Alaikum!

I want to ask here a dream i had about 1 year ago. i am married. have my nikah with my lover Cousin . Al-Hamd-Uli_Allah. before marriage i was involved in many affairs. not mentioning its details. but after my husband, i didnt do it again . and came on the way of hidayat. But after nikah, i saw a dream which is as below:

In my dream i am laying on my bed. my home and my room is so scary. i dont know what types of things are sacring. as much as i know they are like Gins or ghosts etc. i want to run away from that place but under me, i mean where i was laying, there was Satan Lying under me. when i tries to get up, Satan did not allowed me to get up. he forces me to lay there.

At the same time, A man in white Clothes, has a lot of Noor on his face, alongwith another Pious Man ,entered my room. there is dark all around. a voice is heard by me that He(salla Allah alaih wassalam) is Holy Prophet Muhammad (salla Allah alaih wassalam). He sat at the seat that is by the side of my bed.

He (salla Allah alaih wassalam) ordered His Companion to Do nikah between Him(salla Allah alaih wassalam) and me. The Companion did so and then i was got Nikah with Him(salla Allah alaih wassalam). after Nikah i easily got up.

That was all. i am not really sure what was that about? what is its exact meaning????

please guide me.

  1. Assalamu'alaikum,

    A Hadith says:

Sahih al Bukhari, Volume 9, Book 87, Number 123:

Narrated Anas: The Prophet said, "Whoever has seen me in a dream, then no doubt, he has seen me, for Satan cannot imitate my shape.

    In Volume 9, Book 87, Number 126:

    Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri:

The Prophet said, "Who ever sees me (in a dream) then he indeed has seen the truth, as Satan cannot appear in my shape."

For this reason, if anyone sees the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam in a dream in his true form, then it is true. But Shaitaan can appear in a different form and claim to be Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. This does not count as seeing the Rasool Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. In order to know, you need to read the attributes of the Rasool Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam:

Rabee'ah ibn Abi 'Abd al-Rahmaan said: "I heard Anas ibn Maalik (may Allaah be pleased with him) describing the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). He said: 'He was of average height, not too tall and not too short, with a pinkish colour, not very white and not dark, and his hair was neither very curly nor very straight. The Revelation came to him when he was forty years old, and he stayed in Makkah for ten years after the Revelation came, then in Madeenah for ten years. When he died, there were no more than twenty white hairs on his head and in his beard." (al-Bukhaari, 3283).

Al-Baraa' ibn 'Aazib said: "The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was broad shouldered and had thick hair coming down to his shoulders and earlobes. He was wearing red garments. I have never seen anything more beautiful than him." (Reported by Muslim)

'Ali said: "He was neither tall nor short, and had large hands and feet. He had a large head and was big-boned, and the thin line of hair (starting from his chest and extending to the navel) was long. When he walked, he would lean forward, as if he was walking downhill. I have never seen anyone like him, before or since." (Reported by al-Tirmidhi, 3570, who said this is a saheeh hasan hadeeth).

Jaabir ibn Samurah said: "The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was dalee' al-fam, ashkal al-'ayn and manhoos al-'aqib." Shu'bah said: "I asked Maalik, 'What is dalee' al-fam?' He said: 'Wide-mouthed.' I asked, 'What is ashkal al-'ayn?' He said, 'Big-eyed.' I asked, 'What is manhoos al-'aqib?' He said, 'His heels were not fleshy.'" (Saheeh Muslim, Kitaab al-Fadaa'il, 2339).

If the description of the person you saw matched this, you did indeed see him. Otherwise, do saw Shaitaan who falsely claimed to be him Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. And Allah Knows Best.

If it was from Allah as a Guidance, thank Him and say "Astaghfirullah" for your sins and seek refuge in Allah from the Shaitaan. If it is from the Shaitaan, seek refuge in Allah from him and turn to Him, you probably need to work a lot on improving your relationship with Allah, in this case - or in whatever case, this is the best step.

Other than this, I don't think we have anyone who is qualified enough to correctly interpret your dream.

May Allah make us see His Blessed Face on the Final Day, and May He Make us a neighbor of His Rasool Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam in al Jannah, Aameen Ya Rabbil 'Arshil Adheem

I am in relationship with a boy we both love each other yesterday I had a dream of our nikkah ceremony and we both were wearing white clothes and we got married , I want to ask about what this dream means ?

    • Assalaamualaikam

Your dream means you had a dream about marrying a boy you like. We don't provide a dream interpretation service as this is not part of Islam. If you feel your dream guides you towards a particular direction, it is up to you to decide what to do.

If you are involved with this boy, please bear in mind that pre-marital relationships aren't supported by Islamic guidance - make sure your interactions with him are in accordance with Islamic guidance.

If you need advice about your situation, please submit a post for publication, which can then be answered in turn, inshaAllah.
