  1. Assalamu alaykum,

Anything good deed you do believing in Allah, and not ascribing partners to Allah, to seek His good pleasure, Insha Allah it will be accepted.

Make du'aa true from the heart. Go to Allah with a whole heart.

Let there be no ill feelings in your heart.

Begin your du'aa: Praising Allah, make du'aa for peace upon all the Messengers and Prophets of Allah and of course the Last and final Prophet and Messenger of Allah - Muhammad (Salallahu alayhi wasallam) and peace and security on the saliheen (the righteous) and upon all believers.

Ask for His Mercy and Forgivness for yourself, your family, your near ones and the whole Muslim ummah at large from the first to last.

Ask forgiveness of sins, thank Allah for whatsoever He has provided you with. Call upon Allah by His beautiful names - Asma ul husna, which you can find on internet.

Ask for safety from the Fire
Ask for entry in to Jannah
Ask for rizq - Provision - in dunya and aakhirah
Ask for all good - in dunya and aakhirah
Ask for refuge from Shaytaan - life long
Ask for peace in your life and in lives of all believers
Ask for a life in the state of Islam and death in the state of Islam ( in surrender and submission to Allah) for yourself and for all believers.

You may google search " du'as from the Qur'an and they will appear", Insha Allah.

Or why not read the Qur'an with meanings and find for yourself what would you like to ask Allah? Wouldn't it be good? Yes? Insha Allah, try it, in this way before Hajj you will also finish a reading of the Qur'an and gain Allah's mercy Insha Allah.

    Hope the advice helps.

    Salaam.
    Your brother.

  2. @ Questioner,

Sajdaa is being closer to Allah, falling prostrate in surrender and submission to HIm, in a state of Islam, so du'aas made in sajdaa with true heart will Insha Allah be accepted.

Hajj is a pilgrimage for Allah. A big effort a Muslim makes once in a life to travel far, endures heat and hassles of journey for Him (Alhamdulillah it now not as tough as 30 or 40 years back). It is a duty upon those who can afford and Allah loves those who make a pilgrimage to Makkah and perform Hajj for His sake. It is a palce where Muslims for all over the world meet and witness all things which are of benefit to them. So Insha Allah du'aas on Hajj would also be accepted.

    71. And if the Truth had followed their desires, verily the heavens and the earth and whosoever is therein had been corrupted. - Surah Al Mu'minoon

Allah's creation is based on Truth and Allah will do what He wills and His the Most Truthful and Most Just. So if any du'aa based on our desires is not granted in form of visible objects, Insha Allah, Allah will content us with something better in Dunya and in Aakhirah.

    24. Or shall man have what he desireth?
    25. But unto Allah belongeth the after (life), and the former.
    - Surah Najm.

So seek Allah's help in patience and prayer. Insha Allah your du'aas will be accepted.

    34. And He giveth you of all ye ask of Him, and if ye would count the bounty of Allah ye cannot reckon it. Lo! man is verily a wrong doer, an ingrate. - Surah Ibrahiim.

    Hope the advice helps.

    Salaam.
    Your brother.

  3. Dear Seemee, Asalaamualaykum,

I am fortunate enough to have be invited to Hajj twice, so have some experiences and duas you may find interesting. I will inshaAllah share them with you soon!

    • Sister Z, can you kindly post the duas and experiences you've mentioned!

    • Dear Sr. Z
Feels like I know you somewhat now...we think a lot like each other, LOL. I am inshAllah asking Allah to invite me for hajj this year and have started actively "researching" the do's and don'ts for a hajj mabroor, inshAllah. Please do share what you promised. I am SO scared of making a mistake!

      Jakaz Allah

      • Dear Serendipity, Asalaamualaykum,

Thats very sweet of you! And JazakhAllahkhayr for reminding me of my promise.

I'd better get started on this then inshaAllah :0).

Please remember me in your duas, sincerely.

    • Salam Sr. Z
Have been waiting for a year now for you to share your experiences ...LOL....My last deposit for my hajj will be mailed after I get my meningitis vaccine this Fri, inshallah. I don't really need to know what duas as I already know all that stuff, and truly, only what comes from the heart directly to Allah is what matters - I am curious to know if anyone made duas specifically at hajj and they got accepted when they had given up hope. For example: my parents raised me and my siblings with all the effort and love taht they could - and now unfortunately we have bitter divisions amongst us - I and my parents have been praying for all of us kids to become the same loving family we were once upon a time while my parents are still alive and we don't see that happening. I sometimes give up making that dua, and then restart, thinking that Allah does not like cutting off ties of the womb, but I did not cut ties (I cannot share my personal family matters beyond this here) with them and some did badly to others. Basically, I would love to hear if others had a wonderful experience with their duas.

  4. Assalamu alaykum,

I wanted to know weather all duas are accepted when at umrah? This is because there is something in particular I really want that i want accpeted.

    Salam
