Getting married while pregnant?

A friend of mine got married while she was pregnant. Some people are saying that you can't get married while you are pregnant and if you do get married while being pregnant the marriage is not halal. Can you please confirm that? Thank you.

  1. it doesnt matter the marriage is stil valid

  2. Bismillah

If a pregnant woman marries a man other than the man who made her pregnant, such marriages are invalid.
And she must separate with her current husband and re-do the nikah after her iddah. And this is the opinion of the majority of the scholars.

On the other hand if she is marrying the same man that made her pregnant, then this was allowed by some of the companions, Al-Hasan al-Basri, Ibrahim an-Nakhai, Sufyan ath-Thawree, Abu Hanifa, Ishaq ibn Rahwayh, Ash-Shafi, Ibn Hazm, Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibnul Qayyim and many others and this is the opinion of majority of the Fuqaha.

    • asw my brother pregnanted his future wife before marriage and married later.
we are confussed about the sharia of this marriage can you help us with your knowledge is this marriage halaal or haraam?
is this child halaal or haraam?

      • The marriage is halal. As for the child, technically it is illegitimate, but as long as the father acknowledges the child as his then the child can take his name and inherit from him normally.
