Going for an operation after miscarriages…

prayer, dua

Allah is 'Al-Mujeeb' - The one who responds

Assalamalaikum ,

I am 29 yrs old. I have had 4 missed miscarriages between 6 to 8 weeks. I have been diagnosed with a bicornuate uterus [Editor's note: This is a medical condition - in some cases it can increase the risk of miscarriage - various treatments are available]. Now I have to go through H-laproscopy (minor surgery) which is scheduled coming Monday [Editor's note: a laparoscopy is a surgical procedure where a small camera is used to look inside the abdomen and pelvis, via a small cut in the abdominal wall].

My doctor is saying that depending on the report of h-laproscopy  I will have to go for different treatments which can be very long and end result is not assured to be positive.

I am very nervous about the report as well as the procedure of the surgery. PLEASE guide me with some DUAS which I can recite before surgery in between these days so that I have POSITIVE REPORT and I have a SAFE SURGERY although its very minor....

I am very nervous and higly discourage because of my previous pregnancies , I have seen many childless couples and  I always pray for them that Allah bless them with child .....but my fear  is constantly building and I an unable to overcome it ......please help...jazakallah khair.....

  1. Salaams,

I'm very sorry to hear about your condition. I just researched it and it appears that a bicornuate uterus not only can cause repeated miscarriage, but also is associated with preterm delivery, breech birth, and physical malformations in the fetus. Clearly there is a lot riding on your laproscopy. I pray in shaa Allah the doctors find your case is a treatable one and in shaa Allah you can have a child to bring to peace and ease to your heart.
