How can I stop my hair loss?

woman's blond hair extension

Bushy Hair

Asalaamualaykum Brothers and sisters,

My hair has been falling out drastically in clumps for the past five months! Without even brushing it, it just falls. Everytime I wash my hair I end up crying because it scares me the amount it's falling.

I have been to the doctors and all blood tests were normal, I use coconut oil on my hair and take extra vitamin supplements. I read on an Islamic website that reading surah al fatiha 7 times after each farz salah reduces hair fall which have been doing.

Unfortunately none of this seems to work. I'm 20 years old and I know it shouldn't be falling like this but I can't figure out why, this is making me so depressed, even though I wear hijab and no one actually sees my hair I have no confidence,

I'm greatful with what Allah has given me, as long as my hair stays like this I don't mind but if it continues the way it is I'm worried I wont have much hair left. Everytime I comb my hair my tears just rush out, I know some people might think it's only hair but for women especially is a major thing for them.

I have quarter of the hair that I had before, it just scares me so much it's falling in bundles!!

I just want some advice from my brothers and sisters on what I can do to stop it falling so much, any dua's, nutritional info, haircare products ect. I have all faith in Allah swt, I was just hoping if someone did know any Dua's for this inshallah.

JhazakAllah khair for reading, and thank you in advance for your advice.

  1. Same problem

I'm a guy and my hair quite long it keeps falling out. I think mines is due to stress maybe yours is the same . Jasmine oil and mustard oil helps and is the water you use hard water. Try not too wash it to much and eat properly . Protein products would be good chicken etc.

  2. Assalamualikum!

Dear sister use kalonji oil and olive oil for hair and scalp also take little quantity orally.Try herbal supplements and herbal products of reputed companies only.If all the medical tests are normal the reason may be black magic .This can be found out through isteqara. As a precaution download and listen to ruqya available for free and recite manzil and 4 quls sure fatiha and ayth al kursi and Ayat ash-Shifa (Six Quranic Verses of Healing) regularly as much as possible especially after fajar salah and before sleeping. When you cant/should not recite them(Quran) you can download and listen through mobile/Mp3 palyer. This may seem too much but nothing can replace if you lose hair completely .First you should be regular in prayers and deen and then beg Allah for mercy , forgiveness and solution to problems. All these are means and source of all solutions is Allah alone.

  3. salam sister,
i can feel your pain! hair for us female is very important. i hope Allah cures this for you soon
I had done something really stupid and a bunch of pimple was on my face and nothng was really helping :/ anyways, my mother found this dua online and i am so happy to say that it worked! read it and blow it into whatever you use for your hair after every salat. Inshllah it will help.

"Oh Lord of the people, remove this pain and cure it, You are the only one who cures and there is no One besides You who can cure, Grant such a cure that no illness remains"

I know its not your face that has the problem but inshallah it will work for your hair as well.
May Allah help your problem, soon. Ameen.

    • Assalamulaikum...Sister Mea:

Can you please tell me in which Quranic Aayat is this.. i want to read this in ARABIC.. please mentioned from wher did i can found this...

Oh Lord of the people, remove this pain and cure it, You are the only one who cures and there is no One besides You who can cure, Grant such a cure that no illness remains"

      • For the cure of any illness
Ayesha (R.A.) stated that when anyone among them had an illness, Prophet Mohammad (SAW.) used to rub the area of the pain reciting the following dua:
        أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ وَاشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي لَا شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ شِفَاءٌ لَا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمَاً
"O Lord of the people, remove this pain and cure it, You are the one who cures and there is no one besides You who can cure, grant such a cure that no illness remains".
"Ayesha (R.A.) stated that when Prophet Mohammad (SAW.) was ill, he used to recite the four Quls, blow on his hands and pass them over on the back and front. He also recited these surahs, blew on his hands and passed them over his body during his fatal illness".

        (Bukhari, Muslim)

  5. Assalam O Alaikum sister 3,

Sorry to hear what you are going through, as everyone mentioned above there are several reasons for hear loss including stress, depression, use of sub standard shampoo and conditioners, using soap too often can also damage the hair. I agree that you should use the olive oil for hair and if possible mix some black seed oil with it and massage as often as you can. There are several natural remedies out there to help people who are suffering with hair loss, or other hair related problems, all you have to do is do a little bit of search and make sure what ever you choose to go with, consult your doctor to avoid any health risks. Here is a link that may be useful iA.

As I said above, the fact that you stress too much over this issue itself or any other issue could well be causing this problem. So, be very careful, relax, go out and enjoy your life.

  6. Salaams sister,

I have been going through the same issue for the past 2 years. I have been recommended to take biotin skin, hair and nails growth, but you have to drink a lot of water when taking this vitamin. Another you can do is use castor oil which promotes hair growth and only use this oil on your head and no where else. Also eat healthy and exercise, cut out saturate fats they are the problem and control your sugar little way does go a long way. One of the major facts of losing hair is stress and think less of it the more you do the more it will get you down.

    I hope this helps

  7. Sister3, Walaykumsalaam,

Yes, hair falling out is a horrid thing indeed. When you tie your hair under your hijaab, tie it low, as tying it high up and tight under hijaab all day, pulls at the hair from the roots and can cause the hair line to recede considerably. Hair falling out in chunks can be due to various factors: weather change, stress, poor nutrition. Since your doctor has ruled out any medical factors, all I can do is recommend you to take a good multi vitamin, eat healthy nutrious meals including your proteins, fruits etc, drink plenty of water, excercise, keep strong spiritually through Salaah etc, use hair oil weekly, use a wide toothed comb and stay happy! I have just started taking 'Perfectil' for skin, hair and nails - it has good reviews. You can purchase it on Amazon at a lower cost than in store.

  8. Salaam everyone,

I went to Pakistan a few years ago...came back and my hair started falling out in bunches and it freaked me out!

My mum did some research and found a dua.
    This is what you do...
    1: Read Wa-nu nazilu minal quraani maa-hua shifaaun wa-rehmatul mu'mineen
2: Then blow on your fingers
3: massage for 30 seconds or so on your whole scalp. It works wonders!!

Second tip: Wash your hair with luke warm water...and right when you're done...leave the cold water tap running over your head for as long as you can handle the cold...not too long...about a minute is sufficent.

Third tip: Oil your hair regulary...don't leave oil on for longer than 15min.

Fourth tip: Equal quantaties of Olive oil, Almond oil and Blackseed oil. Mix together in a bottle. Drink a table spoon everyday.

Inshallah your hair problems will go away if you follow these tips and when they do...Please do pray for me:)

  9. Salaam
I've been having the same problem. Ive used cocunut oil on my, taken vitamins, doing my excercises and nothing seems to help. Im going bald please some one help me :...(
Ive also used numerous duas and still please some one help me too

    • I have heard using a dermaroller regularly can help you can purchase that from amazon and theres few youtube videos that show you how it's used. I saw the method on tv on a show where they said it worked wonders on people who had gone bald, I suggest you should give it a try and also after using it make sure you out some sort of vitamin E or oil on the area you did roller on as that the whole point.

    • Wash your hair with zam zam water and drink with the intentionto stop hair fall and regrow it.

  16. Salam Sisters and Brothers ,

The best islamic solution to this problem or any other is Zum Zum water . drink it , wash your hairs with it and make duwa from Allah and Inshah Allah this problem will be solve because this water has cure for any disease .

Hadith of Prophet Muhammad P.B.U.H on Zam Zam Water
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "The best water on earth is the water of Zamzam, which is a type of food and cure of disease." (Sahih al-Jami, 3302).
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "The most sublime of all earthly waters is that of Zamzam, there are food for the hungry and medicine for the sick." [Al-Tabarani]
According to Saheeh Muslim that the Prophet Muhammad PBUH told Abu Dhar, who had stayed near the Kaba and its coverings for forty days and forty nights without food or drink other than ZAM ZAM , "How long have you been here," said Abu Dhar," I've been here for thirty days and nights "The Prophet Muhammad PBUH said, "Who has fed you. ' said Abu Dhar "I have had nothing but Zamzam water, and I've gotten so that I have folds of fat in the stomach. I do not feel tired or weak from hunger and I'm not too thin" The Prophet Muhammad PBUH said. "Indeed, it is blessed, is the food that feeds" (Imaam Muslim, 2473).

  17. same problem hereeeee

  18. Asalamualikum brothers,

I am 26 Iam also facing same problem of hair fall and addition to that I have dandruff problem, am using one anti dandruff shampoo but no use... the problem is same...

    please advise me....

    • 1) Mix Curd and Mung bean powder, apply it on scalp. Wait till it dries. Then remove it by combing. Do that for a week. And never use any oil in that time.
      2) After one week, Extract juice of 8 Amla, Mix two spoon of Amla juice and one spoon on lemon. Add little amount of salt into it. Apply it on scalp. After 10 minutes rinse with lukewarm water. Don't use Hot water mixed with cold water as lukewarm water. Do this three times in a week.
      3) Mix Almond oil+Olive oil+Kalonji Oil (Black seed oil) in equal quantities. Apply it on hair before sleeping, next morning wash it with little amount of shampoo.
      4) And the mot important thing, Ask Allah(SWT) for shifa.

      • Assalamualaikum brother Shaheem,

I suffer from the same problem of hair loss and dandruff too. Wanted to clarify if the entire procedure you've mentioned should be repeated forever or this should be done only once in a a few weeks or few months or any time period in specific.

I also suffer from premature greying. In case you have any Islamic solution to that as well I will be grateful to you. Jazakallah

        • Va alaikumussalam sister,
The first one is for dandruff removing , and the second one helps to get natural colour . You don't really have to repeat these two steps forever. Especially the first one. Repeat these if you still have dandruff. When applying oil, massage it for 30 seconds, so that it'll help to increase blood circulation. I read somewhere that applying surma/kohl helps hair growth. Make dua to Allah , Insha Allah everything will be fine. JazakAllah khair

Cupping (Hijama) May Be Used For:

    Headaches

Salma (may Allaah be pleased with him), the servant of the Messenger of Allaah ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said, "Whenever someone would complain of a headache to the Messenger of Allaah ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him), he ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) would advise them to perform cupping (hijama)." [Saheeh Sunan abi Dawud (3858)].

    Magic

Ibn al-Qaiyum (may Allaah have mercy on him) mentions that the Messenger ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) was cupped on his head when he was afflicted with magic and that it is from the best of cures for this if performed correctly. [Zaad al Ma'aad (4/125-126)].

    Poison

Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allaah be pleased with him) reported that a Jewish woman gave poisoned meat to the Messenger of Allaah ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) so he ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) sent her a message saying, "What caused you to do that?" She replied, "If you really are a Prophet then Allaah will inform you of it and if you are not then I would save the people from you!" When the Messenger ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) felt pain from it, he ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) performed cupping (hijama). Once he travelled while in Ihram and felt that pain and hence performed cupping (hijama). [Ahmed (1/305) the hadeeth is hasan (good chain with all the paths)].

    Strengthening One's Intelligence And Memory

Ibn Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said, "Cupping (hijama) on an empty stomach* is best. In it is a cure and a blessing. It improves the intellect and the memory..." [Saheeh Sunan ibn Maajah (3487)].

    Dislocation/Bruising

Jaabir ibn Abdullah (may Allaah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) fell from his horse onto the trunk of a palm tree and dislocated his foot. [Saheeh Sunan ibn Maajah (2807)].

Cupping (Hijama) While fasting Or In The State Of Ihram

Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allaah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) was cupped on his head for a unilateral headache while he was in Ihraam. [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (5701)].

Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allaah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) was cupped while he was fasting. [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (5694)].

Anas ibn Maalik (may Allaah be pleased with him) was asked: "Did you dislike cupping for the fasting person?" He said, "No except for the reason of one becoming weak." [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (1940)].

This is not affected by the hadeeth, "The cupper and the one being cupped have broken their fast." [Saheeh see Irwaa al-Ghaleel (931)]. This is because the hadeeth is abrogated as Sheikh al-Albaani and ibn Hazm (may Allah have mercy upon them) showed by the following hadeeth:

Abu Sa'eed al-Khudhree (may Allaah be pleased with him) said, "The Messenger ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) validated cupping for the fasting person." [Saheeh see Irwaa al-Ghaleel (4/74)].

It appears that cupping (hijama) is allowed but disliked as Anas ibn Maalik (may Allaah be pleased with him) mentioned because the fasting person becomes weak if they perform cupping (hijama) and Allah knows best.

    Areas of Cupping (Hijama)

Anas ibn Maalik (may Allaah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) was treated with cupping (hijama) three times on the two veins at the side of the neck and the base of the neck. [Saheeh Sunan abi Dawud (3860), ibn Maajah (3483)].

Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allaah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) was cupped on his head. [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (5699)].

Abdullah ibn 'Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) used to cup his head and would call it (the place at the top of the head) "Umm Mugheeth." [Saheehah (753), Saheeh al-Jaami' (4804)].

Jaabir ibn Abdullah (may Allaah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) was treated with cupping (hijama) on his hip for a pain in that area. [Saheeh Sunan abi Dawud (3863)].

Anas ibn Maalik (may Allaah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) was treated with cupping (hijama) when he was in Ihram, on the top of his foot, for a pain in that area. [Saheeh Sunan abi Dawud (1836)].

  21. Salam,
Can I just say I have the same exact problem im nearly 20 inshaAllah and my hair keeps falling out like alot and I have that for about 2 years now, I have been ignoring it in the past as everyone said it was due to stress but in the holidays I dont have any stress so it doesnt make sense for it to fall then. It really upsets me but i try and ignore it but when I see it falling everywhere and then when I brush it comes off alot too. Im looking for something to give me a quick fix and im relying on Allah swt to make it better. Please do dua for us all as I have heard alot of people are experiencing the same problem and when I did my research apparently its due to the shampoo companies trying to make money by making us buy more of their products for fixing damaged hair etc but only Allah knows whats true.

  22. assalamu alaikkum
i am very happy, bcz my hair loss and i baldness in past time i read quran fully and my hair growing in the baldness said masha allah

  23. last 2years my hair is falling so fastly...plz giv me some solution

  24. I have the same problem. I am only 16 years old and this hair loss has been here since I was in the 4th grade. You see all your friends with long healthy beautiful hair and yet here you are with no hair that will not grow back. I have lost self confidence and I will not go out unless the hair that is gone is covered. I feel as if its Sooo unfair that everyone around me has great hair and for the pass maybe 7 years mine has just vanished with no return. I've been praying to Allah making dua and everything but I'm yet to see any changes but I will continue to make dua

  25. Assalomalikum sister, you know what ever you have written its like if i am talking to my self :'( i am going through same condition same reasons and i cry alot its not that, that i am some mean selfish person i do care about others but things have been going on with me so much lately i seek for Allah's forgiveness i pray that He Almighty Rehman forgives us all Ameen. sister kindly tell me that did you find any way did you get your hair back and things are better for you now? and please tell me the way is you found any though only and only Allah can help us and i am looking up ti Him for shifa only, hence trying to find a solution. i feel like committing suicide so many times :'( i dont want though but it just happens

    • Dear sister Amna,
How are you. Please do not feel suicidal, it is from shaytaan
Trust in Allah. Pray all your salahs on time. Do your morning and evening adkhar.
I had lost my hair. Became totally bald, even lost all bodily hair, eyebrows eyelashes etc.
had loads of blood tests....and nothing is wrong inside.
Tried hijama. Once on a sunnah day.. Just today, few months on, I realised that the little hair growth I.m getting in patches here and there are the four places I did cupping on my head.
It seems scary, but you don't see it done so it's from behind you and you don't have to see the blood if you don't want to.
I've tried manuka honey, but not consistently. And black seed (not the oil).
But I've had other health issues one after another. Each attacking my outward appearance, hence I had resorted to ruqya, well my brother pressed the case, and got me seen by a Raqi, who follows sunnah and uses only Quran to cure. He told me that I had most likely been inflicted by magic, Allah knows best. I'm on a Shifa programme, drinking ruqya water, olive oil and black seed oil that have been recited on, I listen to surah fatiha, ayatul kursi, 3quls, through headphones so I can concentrate, for half and hour to,one hour, in the morning and evening

For general Shifa programme, google tim humble, he lists a similar 7day Shifa programme, where you can do self ruqya, which is best.
May Allah grant us good health

Also sister , never feel down, there is a life after for those who believe, and look at people worse off when you feel low. Have sabr, patience, for Allah is with those who are patient.

  26. assalamu alaikkum, I too suffer from the same problem. I was told to read surah layl x3 and blow on water. Then drink that water. I haven't started yet due to Ramadan but will soon. Inshaallah I hope it works.

  27. assalamualikum

My hair has been thinning since i was 16 years old and i am now 19. It's very upsetting and I'm trying to stay positive and hope that it will grow back, please guys try and stay positive too! At the start of the year i started taking my hair problem seriously and have been trying my best to get back to the way it was. I have been using nioxin which is a shampoo for thinning hair which has helped my hair a lot but results take a while and 6 months into it i have noticed new hairs! I am also using vatika which is an Indian oil, such as almond oil, garlic oil, olive oil which has helped and I am also taking hair vitamins which are also helping! And of course making dua try these 4 steps out and inshallah you will see results!

  29. Salaam sisters and brothers
U should all use castor oil mixed with alittle black seed oil( these can be found at ur local asian supermarkets) apply on ur hair and cover with a towel or a cap u can leave this in for a few hours or over night and then wash out inshahallah this will work as blackseed is the cure for everything except death, its also mentioned in the quran.

  30. Salaam, i am 27 years old. Since the age of 26 i have started getting grey hair & my hair is falling like crazy. Please could someone tell me any dua i can read or use something. Thankyou,

    • Salaams,

I don't think there is much you can do if you've begun to grey already. Improving your diet may help, but to a large degree it's genetic. The hair loss may be something else, which I would recommend seeing your doctor for. It could be a hormonal imbalance or stress causing it.

I myself started to grey at the age of 17. If I didn't color my hair, I would have fully white hair and it's only been 20 years since it started. If you are feeling really self conscious, just color it. It does help, lol.

    • TE can happen due to many reasons...............

      Source WEBMD

How TE is treated depends on what has activated it. For short-term TE that can be linked to a trigger like surgery, the best response is to sit tight and wait for the follicles to recover of their own accord.

For persistent TE, if the causal factor can be isolated, then the best method is to remove it. For example, if stress is the problem, stress reduction is the long-term answer. If a dietary deficiency appears on a blood test, then supplements can work. A deficiency in thyroid hormones can be treated with hormone supplements.

However, often a specific causal factor cannot be identified. If this is the case, there are few treatment options. Most dermatologists resort to prescribing minoxidil, a direct hair growth stimulator. Minoxidil can work well for some individuals with TE, but if the underlying cause is still present, then minoxidil must be continued to block redevelopment of TE. With removal of the trigger, minoxidil use can be stopped.

    • Dear I am facing severe hair fall from head. I have searched a lot on this topic and came to know many things. The things I got from my research is just go with the Islamic methods of cure. You must try cupping (Hijama) as Holy Prophet said it is the best cure you do for any thing (translated) and I know a person who was bald from head have got back his hair. Eat some seeds of kalonji and use olive + kalonji oil for upper use also drink a little daily. Get some zam zam water and drink this with niyyat to get back your hair. Also keep praying to Allah He is the most Merciful and beneficent.

    • Salaam sister,
I feel for you have patient I know it's easy to say than done but trust me Allah azzawajul will indeed listen to our prayers. Allah says come to me ask me and i will give you subhan Allah.
One of my relative went through the same all his hair was falling eyebrows his beard everything. So there was this person he went to and he just plucked out one hair and that's it he got cured because that one hair was eating all the hair. So have sabr and try madani get in touch with them sister in shaa Allah they will send give you some cute or send you a taweez in shaa Allah you will see some change.

    My nails doesn't grow
    Please tell me some dua

  42. I understand how you feel, sister. I am only a teenager and my hair was also falling out in insane clumps, but what I did to slow down the rate at which it was falling was that I massaged my scalp often (whenever I could and whenever I remembered, like when watching TV, etc and I read whatever duaas and dhikr I could think of. I also suggest castor oil as it is known to increase hair growth.

  43. Salam respected brothers & sisters.

i am also the 1 facing hair problem i have tried so many medicines and other stuff but all in vain all i do i just weeping when i wash and comb my hair i think this disease have no cure as i have tried my best but if a person is facing dandruff, flakes or fungus on his head so i recommend you guys to extract onion juice by the juice machine and massage it onto your head just leave it for 10 minutes you will feel a bit irritation by the grace of Allah you will feel the difference because this is my personal experience.

  44. Dear Sister,

It saddens me that you are going through this psychological stress. As a former victim of hair loss, I would strongly recommend you to go see a dermatologist. Hair Loss is also prevalent among women, where thinning occurs overall the scalp. The Dermatologist will provide you with some medication and topical solutions for you to apply.

"Hair-Fall" is a natural process where a hair strand sheds and is replaced, however if the "Hair Follicle"
dies, the lost hair strand cannot be replaced leading to "Hair-Loss". Home remedies can help you maintain a healthy scalp and condition your hair, but if the Hair-Loss is due to certain Hormonal changes (in men changes in the type of testosterone is the leading factor for "Male Pattern Baldness"), applying hair oils (in my experience) can do very little. I would again strongly recommend you to set an appointment with a renowned dermatologist. You will notice that your hair would stop falling and you'll get back the hair you lost (to a certain extent, as this varies from person to person). InshAllah!

    Regards,
    Usman

  45. Wash your hair with soap first and rub your hair which will strengthen the roots and the scalp and then shampoo it everytime you take bath. My hair was falling like anything. I used to see my hair flow on the washroom tiles. But now with the grace of Allah they dont fall. Am a 22 year old boy.

  49. i love quran

  50. quran is the best book world trust for islamic book quran

  51. Sister
    I had the same problem
    Get ur iron levels checked
Not just ur haemoglobin but also ur ferritin levels
Ferritin is the iron protein store of the body which helps in growth of hair follicles
Normal levels of ferritin for healthy hair is in the range of 40-60 min
Eat loads of healthy food inn sha Allah everything will be fine
Allah helps those who are patient

  52. My dear sister all what we had we have we will have is due to Allah. We should beleive in good and bad fortune is from Only Allah. Allah say in the Quran that no one will enter in Jannah without test. May be this is your test time so be patient. Donot scatter yourself your faith. Allah is the most merciful he will provide you better than you had InshaAllah. Allah says in the Quran ask me for your help through worship and patience. Allah says that He will be with those who repent and ask for forgiveness. My advise is to you that keep repenting and ask for his forgiveness. You may be aware what Hazrat Adam A.S. and Hazrat Younus A.S. did. Hope you got me JazaakAllah u Khau. And besides this do some herbal treatment.Use of garlic onion is recomended for hair loss. Mix amla powder with coconut oil heatup the mixture till the oil becomes black use the oil make it luke warm and apply it on hair. May Allah grant your wish Ameen

  53. Assalaamualaykum,

To any females reading this thread , as sister Amy suggests above, the root cause of the hair loss could be a hormonal imbalance. Specifically, you could have an excess of the hormone testosterone in comparison with your estrogen. It is worth setting up an appointment with a gynecologist to rule this out or address it.

Also, I don't know the circumstances of the original poster, but psychiatric medications can cause hair loss in some people. This is not to say that one should not take the medication, but rather, try alternate medications in the same class (i.e. SSRIs) to find one that doesn't cause the hair loss.

    Inshallah this will help.

May Allah grant all of you a relief for your problem.

  54. Fresh garlic works like magic, but it burns so you may want to use some argan oil after your done and only use natural shampoos and only shampoo once every 3 to 4 days, and aloe vera juice is good and use peppermint oil or ginger extract and massage it because its hot so it circulates blood flow. And i advice all of you to stay away from mental illnes drugs they have many side effects, look up dr mercola for natural remedies

    • Assalaamualaykum Ali,

Your suggestion for hair loss may work for some people. However, your suggestion to stay away from psychiatric medication is a dangerous and ill-informed one for anyone actually diagnosed with mental illness. All medications are natural as they are made up only of elements found on this earth. I suggest you talk to a doctor and do more research on this topic for your own benefit.

      May Allah grant you ease.

  55. i think , sister u get stress atonce tht why yr hair are felling down . plz do yoga u will get good result , Insha Allah

  56. Maintaining the health and condition of the hair is an important aspect of the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam). In Sahih al Bukhari, it is narrated that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, “Whoever has hair, let him look after it properly.”

    General Hair-care Recommendations;

    Wash the hair regularly.

As recorded in Al Bukhari, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) used to pour water three times on his head, and then rub the hair gently but thoroughly to ensure the whole scalp and roots of the hair had been wetted. The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) first perfumed his head with any beautiful scent which was available; taking it in his hands first he rubbed the right side of the head, then the left side, and finally the middle with the scent. That scent remained on him even after he had finished bathing.

Studies have shown that the best frequency for washing the hair is after every couple of days. The use of a mild medicated shampoo is recommended and it is advised not to shampoo the hair more than once at each washing unless it is very soiled otherwise it may result in brittleness and split ends. A separate rinse with a hair conditioner is also beneficial as it adds softness and helps with combing.

Women who have very long hair which is always plaited must undo the plaits and wash the hair thoroughly after completing the menses. It is not permissible just to make the hair wet or just to wet the tips of the hair.

Starting from the right hand side when combing the hair.

Our Mother A'ishah (radhi Allahu anha) narrated that "The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) used to like starting from the right in performing ablution, combing his hair and putting on his shoes."
Sahih al Bukhari Volume 7, Book 72, Number 745

    Care when combing wet hair.

Using a fine-toothed comb on wet hair can cause immense stress on the hair shaft when it is wet, which leads to breakage and hair loss. Use a wide-toothed detangling comb and apply a little olive oil if required. Never pull at the hair when combing it.

Allow wet hair to dry naturally.

Using heated blow dryers can strip the hair of its natural moisture, causing split ends, wiriness and breakage. The hair is also more likely to become dry, frizzy and difficult to style.

Massage the scalp regularly with hair oil.

    The use of hair oil is directly mentioned in the Sunnah;

Our Mother A'ishah (radhi Allahu anha) also narrated that "The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) used to (put) bend his head (out) to me while he was in Itikaf in the Mosque during my monthly periods and I would comb and oil his hair."
Sahih al Bukhari Volume 3, Book 33, Number 245

    Massaging gently and regularly (once a week or so) using the fingertips, with any one of the following oils is recommended for increasing circulation and blood-flow to the scalp, thus strengthening the hair roots and conditioning the hair shaft. The best type of olive to use is Olive oil;

It was narrated from ‘Umar (radhi Allahu anhu) that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said; "Season (your food) with olive oil and anoint yourselves with it, for it comes from a blessed tree.”
Sunan Ibn Majah Book 29, Hadith 3444. Classed as Sahih by Darusalaam.

The hair oil can be left on the hair for between 2-4 hours in sha Allah.

    Using Henna.

Chemical-based hair colourants and highlights cause great damage to the hair and leak harmful toxins into the blood stream through the pores in the scalp. Henna is a natural dark red dye made from the dried and crushed leaves of the Henna plant. 100% pure Henna is safe to use even by pregnant women. It has hair-strengthening properties and also helps cool down the scalp, reduce headache and migraine, slow down the greying of hair, heal flakiness/itchiness, remove dandruff and kill lice. The use of Henna was the Sunnah of the Companions of our beloved Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam), namely Abu Bakr As Siddique (radhi Allahu anhu) who applied it to his blessed hair and beard.

You can find out more about Henna by clicking here.

Henna should be mixed with an acidic liquid like lemon juice until the mixture forms a thick paste. This should then be covered and left to sit for 24 hours before more lemon juice can be added to make the consistency easier to apply. Henna can be left on the hair for between 2 and 8 hours.

The stain of pure Henna is always dark red/orange in colour. So called ‘Black Henna’ or ‘Brown Henna’ should never be used as it is most certainly a composition of toxic chemicals which could cause a very serious allergic reaction.

    Sleeping properly.

Good quality sleep relieves stress which has been linked to hair loss. At the same time it is important to note that over-sleeping does not benefit the body at all and is not recommended. It was the practice of Rasool'Allah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) and the Companions to sleep for a portion of the night then wake up in the last third of the night for Qiyyam ul Layl.

    Improving dietary habits.

The old cliché of eating well really does have a significant impact on the condition of the hair. Eating a balanced diet, low in saturated fat and high in protein, vegetables, fresh fish, vitamins and minerals encourages strong, shiny, bouncy hair. Hair loss can be lessened by avoiding anything which leads to crash dieting, hormonal imbalances, poor blood circulation and anaemia. Regularly drinking a little whole milk, eating almonds, sesame seeds and dried fruit all help the condition of the scalp and hair.

  57. Cut your hair as soon as possible but if they grow cut them again and again this will reduce or stop or even regrow your hairs

  58. If Allah can create a man without father (prophet Isa) then why can't He regrow ur hair just keep ur hope and believe in Allah this is just an exam don't be decieved by eblees

  59. USE olive oil and Honey When you go to bed..Not regularly but once a week and wash your hair with cold water..Don't use any shampoo only water .Inshallah everything will be fine

  60. any difference happened sister within 4 years.
if nothing happened then do hair transplant them it costs less in india if you are here.

you can ask Allah swt for help and forgiveness. always do.

    Sura aagaist hair fall.
per < 70 fatiha, ayat kursi, kafirun. 3 last sura and salavats and lastofirulla.............wa la huwla wa la kuwwata this ayat completely.. with dua drink 1 glass and wash with a rest/ 70 days none stop/

  63. Asalamu alaykum,

I had severe hair loss as well. I remembered i would brush my hair and have loads of hair in the sink and cry. Hair loss is truly devastating and can kills someone emotionally because we perceive hair as beauty. My hair loss was due to PCOS and hormonal imbalance. I was put on a bunch of medications which were poison, As soon as I got off my medication i was cured from PCOS with a healthy lifestyle and a lot of duas. Also, using shampoos that are natural and have no chemicals help. Using healing oils like castor oil and black seed oil help with regrowth. But, putting too much oil for a long period of time can clog your hair follicles and i not make your hair breathe. So, keeping an oil for an hour and having a clean scalp by massaging helps. Hope this helps inshallah. Allah s.w.t is merciful he is the one that can cure anything.

  64. Fantastic Website. Very much enjoyed reading.

  65. Assalam Alaikum to all Brothers & Sisters.

dont do anything, jzt wake up at tahajjud offer prayer with witr after witr with full confident recites allah 99 names and wish as u like, he will surely cure it as allah keep all knowledge !!!

Note: dont keep even 1% doubt in ur mind and heart that it may work or not, otherwise it may not work as allah dont listen dua for ghafeel people. and also do astaghfaar whole day and do zikr it not only give ur hairs it also gives u other provision which u cant ever think that u ll get sooo easily from somewhere that u never imagine....

    Khuda hafiz......

    • syed naseer, if it was so easy to cure baldness then no mu'min in the world would be bald. Allah created our bodies in such a way that they are governed by our genetic codes. If a person has a gene for baldness, he will go bald. If he has the genes for black hair, or a long nose, or short stature, then he will have these things. Do you think a person can change any part of his body through dua? Allah created us and he created us. We can improve our appearance by eating healthy foods, exercising, caring for our skin, etc. But other things are simply part of who we are.

  67. One of my friend had the same problem. Her hair started falling like in a bunch whenever you touch or brush her hair. Her lab results were normal. She used to take acid reflux pill and she stopped taking that pill and her hair starts falling. Finally we found out that due to she stopped taking her Acid reflux pill her hair started to fall and Thanks to God. once she started taking her acid reflux pills, her hair stop falling as used to be and also her new hair comes back.

My Advice to the people who are losing hair test for Acid reflux.
Might be it will help you guys.....Best wishes.

  68. Sister dont worry insha Allah this technique will stop your hair loss but use it regularly it will regrow your hairs too.....take onion juice and mix one spon of olive oil in it and then mix them gently and Apply it on your scalp and keep it for 15 mint and wash them of if u can tolerate smell u can appy it over night and wash it in morning it is observed that onion oil just not stoped hair loss but it Regrown the hairs 86% it is scientific research insha Allah this will help u sister and keep on offering prayer which reduce your stress and give u peace stay blessed

  69. Assalamu Alaykum. Al Fatihah 7 times after every fard salah? Sounds like a bi’dah (innovation), I would stay away from doing things that have no authentic sources behind them, as that is a sin and may cause Allah’s anger. But reciting Al Fatihah as a cure is perfectly permissible, just don’t tie to anything or put restrictions or implimentations as such. Secondly the hair...it is mentioned in Bukhari (a unanimously authentic hadeeth book by scholars) that the Prophet PBUH said to annoint your hair and or beard with olive oil as the oil comes from a blessed plant. That’s about as much as i know out there regarding something to put on to help your hair.
    And Allaah knows best.
