One Sided Love; how do I marry him?

Love marriage or arranged marriage?

Love marriage or arranged marriage?

Salamualikum,

I knew this guy that grew up in the same community, he is Mashallah an amazing guy, he is on his deen, and at the same time very outgoing and perfect for me. I have liked him for a very long time and I do not know what to do. He knows who I am, and we are acquaintances. I do not date and obviously he doesn't. He does not know I like him. But I dont know what to do and is there any duaa for me to get him. I know he is a very good person for me and he is a very nice and sweet man and I am not just saying that because I like him.

  1. Sister, there are duas for spouse but here is one I read for a woman seeking righteous spouse;

    A Woman’s Du’a for a Righteous Husband

O Allah! Please grant me one
Who will be the garment for my soul
Who will satisfy half of my deen
And in doing so make me whole

Make him righteous and on your path
In all he'll do and say
And sprinkle water on me at Fajr
    Reminding me to pray

May he earn from halal sources
    And spend within his means
May he seek Allah's guidance always
    To fulfill all his dreams

May he always refer to Qur'an
and the Sunnah as his moral guide
May he thank and appreciate Allah
For the woman at his side

May he be conscious of his anger
    And often fast and pray
    Be charitable and sensitive
    In every possible way

May he honor and protect me
And guide me in this life
And please Allah! Make me worthy
    to be his loving wife

    And finally, O Allah!
Make him abundant in love and laughter
    In taqwa and sincerity
    In striving for the hereafter

    AMEEN!

Also pray Salat-ul-Hajrat and ask Allah (swt) to bless you with a righteous spouse not just for this brother.

Another Dau from Quran is "Rabbi Innee Limaa Anzalta illayya min Khairin Faqeer" [28:24]

    TRANSLATION;
"O' my Rabb, Verily I am most in need of any good that You might bestow on me."

On top of this page there is a link for duas which you might find helpful iA.

May Allah (swt) bless everyone with a righteous spouse who will lead them to Jannah and vice versa. Amin

    • Oh wow!! mashaallah what a lovely poem!

      who is the poetess?

      • apple green I think its a Dua for a righteous husband not a poem .

        • 🙂 There is no problem if we call it a poem. These are thoughts of the writer anyway.

          • Mashallah. we really value your efforts. i hope we are going to see a Ramadan Special post from the website before the blessed month starts. Like Special duas or ibadahs for the day and night and their attributes, or tips on planning the tight ramadan schedule or tips on maintaining healthy fasting habits etc, what is permissible or not permissible during fasts and so on.
            looking forward to it.

            May Allah reward you all.

    • mashallah love your reply and may Allah give everyone a righteous spouse out there either male or female and who will guide them on the path way to jannat. in shaa allah ameen.

  2. Salam alikom sister . I will tell you the only solution you have here .

    There is 2 ways .

1- To rely on Allah and don't involve your self in haram relation and just ca re about allah And for sure he will take care of you and give you what you want . Allah will bring you them man you want to you and without any efforts from you 🙂 .

2- to do this by your self and try to get him by your self . But you will be alone . You will rely on your self .

So what do want sister . Rely on Allah or rely on your self . If I was in your place i will rely on Allah and pray to him to bring to your life the right man for your Deen and donya .

    I wish you happiness . Salam alikom ^ ^

  3. Why don't you ask one of your friends or relatives to find out if he is interested? There is no point in harbouring a secret admiration from afar and wonder if he will approach you or your family for marriage purposes. Make dua, then implement some concrete steps.

  4. Yes, i agree with the sister above. Ask around and inquire, then get your family on board so that they can help you win over this halal brother as husband.

  5. Yes it's not shame it haram . Our mother khadija she sent to the prophet Mohamed peace be upon him and she asked him if he acceo t to marry her . And he did . So you can do the same .

  6. I did an Istikhara for someone(whose proposal I got) but in dreams I saw someone else ( I would say my colleague) with my brother and my brother is wearing green Shirt and White Shalwar. They both are at some wedding. I have done istikhara many times and every time I feel the same for my colleague.

What does that suppose to mean. Let me clear the proposal is no more but I am confused. I do feel some respectful vibes from my colleague but I thought this might be my misunderstanding. But to see him in my dreams often confuses me. If he is interested, why is he not taking any step.

Pls have your say on this

    • Istikhara helps you determine your own course of action, not your colleague's. Your dreams indicate that you have some desire to marry your colleague. But you don't know how he feels. I suggest you have your brother (since he was also in your dream) contact your colleague and see if he might be interested. If he is, he can put forward a proposal.
