  1. AsSalamualaikum,

Sister, if you have your Mahram who is taking you for the Hajj, then ask him to convince his relatives to keep your children with them until you return from the Hajj. Else you can do so with your relatives, and insha Allah, they won't deny this.
Moreover, it is best if you can take your children with you on Hajj.
But if you plan to go on Hajj without a Mahram, then it is not allowed for you to do so. You can not go for Hajj, without a Mahram.

As for he who did not offer
    the obligatory zakah, it is
    necessary for a repentant to
Pay them for all previous unpaid years, for it is, from one angle, Allah's right, while from another, the poor people's right. (See Madaarij Al-Salikin for further details).

    • Brother waseem , I went to hajj 2011. And I felt mercy for the children, I know they take Ajar but even for adult it's very difficult, it was over crowded everywhere, one day we counted that we walked 11hous total during one day to avoid traffic from road, adding the heat. Haram, the kids will only suffer from it. Long time ago, was ok cos it was less crowded, but lately, this is really too much for children. For Omra during a calm period, it can be fine but hajj, I think this will be difficult for parents to perform hajj with peace,Making dua And prayers with peace without checking on kids every seconds, cos if you loose your child there, impossible to find without help of securities there, etc and difficult for kids to bear the physical excercice, the crowd, the stress, the microbes, most of adults come back from hajj sick, I was coughing for a month after hajj, had little fever. I think it's better for the sister to find relative who can make this favor or send them to grand parents even if they live abroad. whatever the way you will handel, hamdullah you have the niya to do the hajj. Allah helps u.

  2. @ brother Muhammad Waseem I got 1 question, what if a women divorce, didn't marry or widow? What are the rules? Sorry if I am being silly but I want to know correct thing.

    Thank you
    Nadia

    • Sister Nadia,

Mahram is not the husband only. Any person who qualifies as her Mahram according to the Sharee'ah may accompany her. The ruling that a woman may not travel alone is from the following Hadeeth:

Narrated by al-Bukhaari (1729) and Muslim (2391) from Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him) who said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “No woman should travel except with a mahram, and no man should enter upon her unless there is a mahram with her.” A man said: “O Messenger of Allaah, I want to go out with such and such an army and my wife wants to go for Hajj.” He said: “Go out with her.”

In case of the sister above, one possible option if she has no husband to support, may be her children (her sons, if any) when they become able, and can take her to the Hajj.

    • salaam,

      🙂

      This much I know:

      Hajj for females without mahrams-

However, in the case of a woman who has neither a husband nor a father, nor does she have some other relative who could support her financially, nor does she have enough funds to take care of her needs, it would, under this situation, become permissible for her to go out of the house under legal hijab and earn her living to the limit of her need. Now, when this purpose can be easily achieved while living in one's own country or city, then there is no need to travel to a foreign land. If there is no other way for her, but to travel to another city, and she does not have any Mahrams, then only in this situation it will be permissible for her to take the opinion of Imam Shafii and Imam Malik, for they have given permission for her to travel with a group of trustworthy women [in such situations]. Furthermore, the Masjid that I attend the director of the Masjid said that he would help my friend with her hajj arrangements with a group of trusted women. My friend is alone with one daughter.

  3. Sister Saraa,

You're right. I totally ignored that point. While I replied, I was thinking about my friend, who used to tell me that he had done Hajj 3 and a half times 🙂 Half being the complete Hajj when he was a kid.
Well, jokes apart, I believe having children away could even help the parents do the Hajj in peace, which is a requirement in Hajj.
    Jazakillah for the point.
