I really want this job, but things have been delayed since I prayed Istikhara
Salam,
My mother and I did Istikhara about a job at a place and the answer was positive for both of us, but things somehow slowed down and the process is taking too long and getting delayed. I am very confused and tensed about it.
Kindly help me by answering my query!

The meaning of Istikharah is to guide, its not about dreams or good feelings... for istikharah to be effective you must put your trust in Allah that He knows whats best for you and your future whether you get this job or not. If you do it's good for you and if you dont it's not.
Through this process you must remain neutral and Trust Him whether you get the job or not.
If you read the meaning of Istikharah prayer the answer is in the prayer itself in its meaning!
A lot of people make mistake whereby they have made their mind up already about a marriage or job or wanting to go to a particular College, Uni or a house/flat.

Sometimes the result of Istikhara takes some time. Just because there is a delay, it doesn't mean that the job is not for you. Perhaps your being tense and nervous about it is showing you that you are really interested in this job...it's giving a chance to show you your true feelings about this job, and when you recieve it, you'd be relieved and happy to accept.
If, on the other hand, the delay gets unbearable, then the answer is clear: this job is not for you because Allah created you the way you are for a reason and you are being unable to bear the wait. Move on and find something that more easily comes in your direction without making you suffer so much.
