Walaykumsalaam 'Akhairzada',
According to a web search, 'Nabi' means 'Prophet' and some people use it to refer to so called 'Saints'.
I dont know if this name is recommended or not. If you are not sure, there are plenty of other good names you can call your baby boy, like: Ibrahim, Muhammed, Musa, Yusuf, Yahya, Abdul-Rahman, Abdul-Rahim, Hamza. I love those names and the list could go on forever.
May Allah grant you with a beautiful, healthy and pious baby : ).

In my opinion it is absolutely NOT appropriate to name a child Nabi (Prophet) or Nabiullah (Prophet of Allah). You should choose another name, Insha'Allah. And Allah knows best.

Hmm, I do agree Wael.
Calling someone Nabi or Nabiullah is the same as calling someone 'Prophet of Allah' and it really doesn't sound at all right.

I've heard of surnames that are "Nabi". But I'm not sure about keeping a first name "Nabi". However I have other suggestions for you - Maseehullah meaning The One touched (mercy and grace) with Allah or Nabeel ( Noble, honourable)
Rumaysa
I've never heard of Maseehullah and it sounds very odd to me. But Nabeel is a good name.

Brother Wael, It may seem very odd to you, but here in Africa it's not. Infact it's a common name. I'm not sure of it's origin, but it definetly does rhyme with nabiullah. Suggested something similar to what akhairzada might like!
Brother how about the name
