Hello Everyone

I am 16 year old. I was born in Muslim family. My parents never raised me like one. I was living without realizing until now. All my parents taught me was a lie. I feel terrible because I am Muslim but I don't pray or fast. I started to pray secretly but I had to leave it due to my fears because my parents wakes up at night. I want to please Allah but my fears gets in the way.

What should i do?? Plz help me.

I am just a girl who is trying to do the right thing.

  1. Hey Girl, Assalamu'alaikum,

Ma sha Allah, you have realized that the deen requires practicing. What makes you do so secretly? Are your parents so ill hearted that they can not even see their daugher pray and fast?

It is like saying: I will stand near the cliff and see to it that everyone jumps, and then even I will jump. Here, the end is Allah's Displeasure which is far from imagination. One is lost, one is doomed, one would wish one was never born or was destroyed to dust than face the consequences of Allah's Displeasure.

Some of the Salaf were highly pious, but when they knew they had to stand before Allah in prayer, they would shiver. Pleasing Him is the most important and the highest goal of a Muslim and a Muslimah. Do your parents stop you and risk your sins being written in their account along with their own?

May Allah Guide them. Sister, I know of such parents who do not practice and their children are highly practicing. They do not stop them most of the times, but even if they stop, then Allah Helps them because they struggle in His Way.

Sister, do not miss a prayer, because leaving prayer makes a person equal to a disbeliever or a polytheist. Do not give up fasts and fast as much as possible, coming Ramadan. Do how much possible, because Allah Said:

So fear Allah as much as you are able and listen and obey and spend [in the way of Allah ]; it is better for your selves. And whoever is protected from the stinginess of his soul - it is those who will be the successful. (At Taghabun:16)

What is this world but a place of temporary pleasures and tests? We won't get a second chance after this life.

Do your parents stop you from praying? What do they say? What do they do? If they are Muslim, they must not stop you from praying. Concerning fasting, make plans as to how you will wake up for Suhoor, what you will eat, etc. and leave the rest to Allah, He Will Take care, in sha Allah.

In this process, bear in mind that they are your parents and you must be kind to them.
