Can someone please guide me towards a recording of Quran recitation particularly female on the internet. I will be very grateful.

    Assalamualaikum,

    Sister, I don't think you will find a recitation by a female. Even if it was available, it would be wrong to make that publicly available because the voice of a woman can also become her 'Awrah when it is suggestive or alluring. And when Qur'aan is recited with beautified tone or tarteel, it is likely that men listening to it may find it tempting. The proof for my claim is something found in the following Aayah:

    33:32
    يَا نِسَاءَ النَّبِيِّ لَسْتُنَّ كَأَحَدٍ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ ۚ إِنِ اتَّقَيْتُنَّ فَلَا تَخْضَعْنَ بِالْقَوْلِ فَيَطْمَعَ الَّذِي فِي قَلْبِهِ مَرَضٌ وَقُلْنَ قَوْلًا مَعْرُوفًا
    O wives of the Prophet, you are not like anyone among women. If you fear Allah , then do not be soft in speech [to men], lest he in whose heart is disease should covet, but speak with appropriate speech.

    The permanent committe had the following fatwa on voice of women:

    Women's voice is not `Awrah in itself. It
    is only Haram (prohibited) to listen to a
    woman's voice when its tone is suggestive or
    alluring. A woman's husband is excepted
    from this prohibition. Likely, it is Haram for
    a woman to speak in such a manner in the
    presence of men other than her husband. A
