Ramadan Mubarak – The Secret of Ramadan

Ramadan Mubarak, Ramadan card

Ramadan Mubarak! - Blessed Ramadan

Ramadan Mubarak to all our readers and my fellow Editors! For those in North America, the Fiqh Council of North America has announced that the first day of Ramadan will be Monday, August 1, 2011.

May Allah help us to grow closer to Him in this blessed month, increase our worship, purify our niyyah, forgive our sins, and make us among the people of Jannah.

Ramadan can be hard, but it's also a critical time of spiritual growth.

I practice martial arts six days a week, and every year during Ramadan my classes occur during fasting time. This year will be difficult because Ramadan is in the middle of summer and the days are long and hot.

At times in past years my (non-Muslim) fellow students would say to me, "Are you alright? You look pale." They would ask me, "How many days left?", thinking that I was looking forward to the end of Ramadan so I could eat normally again.

I tried to explain that yes, it's difficult, but that does not mean I want it to end. Ramadan is an amazing paradox, a blessed puzzle of sorts. We experience the hardship and we are grateful for it, because the hardship and sacrifice are the source of Ramadan's blessings, the secret of its power. If it were easy, what would be the point?

The hardship, the gnawing hunger and dry thirst, the weakness and lack of energy as we go about our daily routine, working, attending school, caring for our children, and then praying at night, making dua', losing sleep until we feel exhausted and weak - all that is the secret of the glory of Ramadan.

The secret of Ramadan is deprivation. It's an open secret, but so many people fail to grasp it. They sleep all day during Ramadan, and then socialize and eat all night. They actually gain weight during Ramadan. They miss the entire point of Ramadan.

We are supposed to experience hardship. We should be waking up for Fajr, going to work, sticking to our daily routines, and then moderating our food intake even at night. We should increase our salat (prayer), dhikr (praising Allah), and reciting Quran. We should seek the difficulty of Ramadan.

When we do this sincerely, seeking only Allah's face, Allah's rewards and forgiveness come flooding into our lives.

Imagine what Ramadan was like for the Prophet (pbuh) and the Sahabah, fasting in 120 degree heat, going about their affairs, tending crops, shepherding animals, hunting, trading, running caravans, even fighting battles, and then breaking fast with a few dates, a cup of milk, and maybe a few bites of meat if they were fortunate.

Imagine what it's like right now for the people of East Africa who are experiencing drought and famine. (If you can, click here to donate to needy families).

Dadaab refugee camp, Kenya

The Dadaab refugee camp in Kenya. 400,000 Somali refugees have sought shelter at Dadaab. Many are starving.

Many of the readers of this website, IslamicAnswers.com, are experiencing hardship of a different kind. Many of you are dealing with painful relationship problems, difficulties in your marriages, problems with in-laws, breakups, or are struggling with feelings of shame and guilt.

Let Ramadan be a soothing balm for your soul. Let it purify you. Let Ramadan remind you of Allah's favors to you. Let Ramadan do its work on you, and when it's over don't go back to what you were. If Ramadan allows you to climb ten steps higher on the ladder toward Jannah, then maybe after Ramadan you fall back two or three steps, but not all the way. Be better and stronger than you were. This holy month will teach you, if you let it.

O Allah, for You do we fast, and for You do we break our fast. All praise is due to You, who fed us, and gave us to drink, and made us Muslims. Purify us during this month, relieve us from our burdens, and forgive us. - Ameen.

  2. Assalam O Alaikum and happy ramadhan to everyone:)

Very well thought and written article brother Wael. Just to add that Shahaba (R.A) use to go extra mile to earn more reward in this month of Ramadan. Also, what most (if not all) people don't know is that this was the month in which all the other divine books like Toorah, Injeel were revealed as well. That's why it is also sacred as well. Ramadan is not just about starving oneself but medical science has proven it's benefits for the human bodies. How lucky are we that we have to fast for few hours when some of the nations who have passed away before us use to fast for a whole day (24 hours) and there were some nations who used to fast for 2 months or over continously. No wonder Allah (swt) is so merciful upon us.

    Wasalaam,
    Muhammad1982.

This is my first official Ramadan and I can not wait to experience fasting the correct way!

  6. Ramadan Mubarak to everyone!

May Allah swt replace all of our hardship with ease, make us earn immense reward in Ramadan and make us of those in Jannatul Firdaws! Ameen.

I want to share some advice given to me from an ustadha: "Use this Ramadhan wisely, to get closer to Allah and earn as much reward as possible. Throughout the year we spent time nourishing our bodies with food, drink, wordly wants etc, but we forget our soul. So water your soul with remembrance of Allah, reading Qur'an, and salat.

Each night Allah swt frees groups of people from Jahannam. These people who are freed will never enter Jahannam. So do not let a night pass without praying Tahajjud, and InshaAllah your name will be amongst those who are freed. Do this from the first night. We do not know if we will live to see the next Ramadan and this could be your only opportunity

Also the dua of the fasting person at iftaar is not rejected so ask for Jannatul Firdaws in your dua."

I think it is definietly humbling, especially to think of those people suffering in Africa and Syria who have no choice but to fast. It serves as a reminder to us all to be thankful for the many blessings that Allah has bestowed on us.

For those readers undergoing trials or difficulty, this is the month of Mercy so turn to Allah and submit yourself to Him fully. You will feel much closer to Him in this month InshaAllah so seek His forgiveness.

Lastly the sister advised us: Recite continously 'La ilaaha illa anta subhanaka innee kuntu mina-dhaalimeen.' [none has the right to be worshipped but You (O Allah)], Glorified (and Exalted) are You [above all that (evil) they associate with You]. Truly, I have been of the wrong-doers."
    Al-Qur'an, 021.087 (Al-Anbiya [The Prophets])

I pray that Allah swt gives you and us all a blessed, successful Ramadhan, frees us from Jahannam in this month and raises our ranks in Jannah! Ameen.

Let us all remember one another in our duas InshaAllah and remember the people of Africa/Syria/Palestine/and all other places who are suffering.

  7. Ramadhan Mubarak

May Allah open our hearts to this wonderful opportunity during the Holy month of Ramadhan not not only worship and remember/helping those less fortunate then ourselves & reaching selat arhaam ( making contact re establishing harmony with family) It is also a time for esteqfar & dont forget to not only seek forgiveness from Allah swt but ALSO from those whom you have transgressed against. (thulm)

Knowing that Allah swt the all Merciful MAY forgive your transgressions against yourself and Him, but when you have transgressed against others, weather its killing, cheating, stealing, beguiling, fornicating with, tricking, tempting, back biting or even snubbing and harming directing or indirectly these are just to name a few. Only they can forgive or not forgive you on Judgements day.

I also want to draw attention to another transgression which through shaitan and alnafs is often ignored, but it is a deadly sin nonetheless: Please beware of spreading of lies, deliberate or guestimates which includes advising others about Islamic issues we don't know because through that you may become responsible for turning what is haram into halal.

    Surah Ibraheem
    (3) Those who love the life of this world more than the Hereafter, who hinder (men) from the Path of Allah and seek therein something crooked: they are astray by a long distance.

    (42) Think not that Allah doth not heed the deeds of those who do wrong. He but giveth them respite against a Day when the eyes will fixedly stare in horror,-

Wa la tahsabn Allah qafil aáma yaámal aldhalimoun inma you akherhum liyoumn tashkhas feh alabsaar

    (49) And thou wilt see the sinners that day bound together in fetters;-
    (50) Their garments of liquid pitch, and their faces covered with Fire;
    (51) That Allah may requite each soul according to its deserts; and verily Allah is swift in calling to account.
    (52) Here is a Message for mankind: Let them take warning therefrom, and let them know that He is (no other than) One Allah: let men of understanding take heed.

Allah will not forgive transgressions between one another, because every mathloom (one whom has been transgressed upon will receive his/her Adl & Haq (justice) on the Day of Justice.

So just is Haq Allah that even with animals, if a goat with horns buts another goat that doesnt have horns, on the day of judgment the hornless goat will grow its horns and take its justice from the previously horned goat before Allah turns them into dust. So just is Allah that even a non believer whom has been mistreated and transgressed raises his hands to Allah and asks justice, does Allah give him it.

The day of judgement is a long topic which I am not completely learned about, but I know that the last phaise is the passing of seraat al mustaqeem (the thin narrow line) , we cannot attempt to walk it to try and reach paradise before the banners of human transgressions are raised. This is waad Allah (Allahs promise) for the people whom have been transgressed by others.
No one passes the seraat almustaqeem untill all his dues are payed: There will be accountability and the outcome of where he ends up in Heaven or Hell is unknown.

The prophet Mohammed (pbuh) has asked his companions, whom are the mufliseen (the impoverished/loosers ) some asked are they the ones with no money?
To this the Prophet pbuh said "No, the mufliseen (loosers) are the ones whom come on the day of judgement with huge shiny mountains of good deeds, but he had - shatama hatha , wa thalama hatha (sinned because he insulting someone, and sinned because he transgressed against another)

The transgressed (mathloomeen) will take from his mountain of good deeds, for this is the right Allah has promised, and when the transgressors good deeds are finished and his mountain is depleted and there are still dues he has to pay, the judgement of Allah continues and the payment becomes He (the transgressor) takes the sins of the ones who he transgressed against..
And it lands the transgressor in hellfire.

Transgressors dont think theyve committed sins against other humans, It is often that indignation and arrogance ( arrogance is the first and foremost sin committed in the history of Allahs creation when Ibless refused to bow to Adam pbuh ) And it is his arrogance which he guides people with through his whispers to us to make us think what we are doing is right

...... "you are right, its ok, your intentions are pure, its not your fault, they said it too"

Any action has a reaction and numbing oneself that "i didnt meant that" does not mean that you are exempt from Allahs wrath.

    Surah alkahf reads:-

(18:103) Say, (O Muhammad): "Shall We tell you who will be the greatest losers in respect of their works?
(18:104) It will be those whose effort went astray76 in the life of the world and who believe nevertheless that they are doing good.

A Ramadhan note to the people whom come to seeked advice.

Ramadhan is a time that you also reasses your transgressions:
To the muslim males whom have lulled muslim women through lies of love to fornicate.
The males, would you accept it on your sister to do it to another mans sister or daughter?
To the muslim females whom have allowed and continue to allow men to fornicate with.
You all hide it from your family and come here nameless to admit seek advise on Boyfriend and Girlfriend relationships. Do you not know that Allah sees? Islam has one answer to you - repent and fix your mistakes towards yourself and the ones you have hurt.

Many of the wonderful sister editors here have gently warned you that these types of relationships are haram.
Yet many continue giving islam a bad name and dangerously encourage others to do the same as you by association.

And also Allah SWT ordered his slaves to cover their sins.
Islam teaches us *Inbuleetum Fastatirou* when you are inflicted with a sin, cover yourself.

From among the teachings of Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) is to keep sins a secret matter. If someone commits a sinful act which is against the Commandments of Allah, or is against the moral character, or is such an act that may cause harm to one's honor, then he should keep it a secret and seek forgiveness from Allah in the darkness of night.

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "My entire nation is safe, except al-Mujahirin (those who boast of their sins). Among the Mujaharah is that a man commits an (evil) act, and wakes up in the morning while Allah has kept his (sin) a secret, he says: "O so- and-so! Last night I did this and that." He goes to sleep while Allah has kept his (sin) a secret but he wakes up in the morning and uncovers what Allah has kept a secret!" [Saheeh al-Bukhari]
The reason is Allah amar bil sitir (Allah has ordered covering of our sins) is because humans by nature, especially those whom have weak hearts, and even the strongest of hearts struggle daily with their inner jihad to maintain their piety and deen, so Allah wants muslims to behave in Islamic morality to encourage and be an example to others, because the ones with weaker conviction when hearing of sins will find it easy to copy, because its human nature - monkey see monkey do -
We complain of a confused generation loosing itself in globalization, taking the bad and dismissing the good, to truly help them one must set an example and inspire to teach.

Remember the words of ALLAH swt

Those who love (to see) scandal published (and) broadcast among the Believers will have a grievous Penalty in this life and in the Hereafter: Allah knows and ye know not. (Quran, 19-24)

By reading and my own experience I notice that many feel trapped by feelings of despair.
Many have said that their prayers are not answered, forgetting that Allah DOES know whats best.
Make Ramadhan your opportunity to renew your allegiance to Allah, to renew your faith.
To open your heart and soul to total submission to Allah swt's will.

Despair is a sin against hope. It is one of Satan’s greatest weapons against us.
Hope is a virtue. It is centered on God, the source of all hope.
By fanning the flames of despair, Satan can lead us into the greatest of sins, because desperate people do desperate things. At the moment a person gives in to despair, one has suffered a loss of faith and trust in Allah. The desperate persons judgement becomes clouded because they have lost faith in the promise that Allah swt does whats best for us.

"Tell them, O My slaves who have wronged their souls: 'Do not despair of Allah's mercy.' " (Al-Zumar:53)

Know that Ramadhan is shahr altawba and etq min al nar - a month of repentance and release from hell fire.
But with Tawba comes with rules, it must be a true tawba from your heart, true regret , one whos regret is so deep you will never commit this sin again. It must be tawba nassouha. A Genuine regret.

I would assume, in my opinion that such a tawba would leave the person whom sinned ashamed and fears Allah and knows that describing a haram thing as though it is halal may have its repercussions.
As though it is a part of our islamic identity and such behavior is the norm when it is NOT the norm nor is it halal i.e boyfriend girlfriend.

To reach such a tawba you would be fearful of what you have said in case your non chalant ATTITUDE towards your sin influences others to adopt the same attitue towards committing the same sin and what better way to advertise than the click of your fingers media & internet.

Know that when you have repented from sins committed against Allah, with such passion Inshallah Allah will take pride in your repentance infornt of the Angels, and He is most generous, and inshallah will change your sins to good deeds and Ramadhan is your chance to fix your mistakes

But also know if you have transgressed against another muslim, and it is possible to fix the wrong or seek forgiveness from them, then do it in Ramadhan, because if you die before you have atoned yourself of the transgressions against others, you will be held accountable and will be judged for these sins by Allah swt.

As Ayith al garni reminded, the mathloomeen (people whom have been transgressed upon by transgressors) and these opressed found no worldly court to give them their justice from your opression, then know as you know that Allah is Almuntaqim al Jabbar: That his case is not discharged of dismissed, know that Allahs angels will keep the opressed case and on the day of judgment the angels will be the witnesses and the judge will be the creator Allah SWT Himself.

    • Wonderful post!!
Specialy the hadith about the al-Mujahirin, is very real. People who commit sins and are not ashamed of it are very disgusting. Personaly they make me feel as if doing sin is no big deal and it is stupidity to be trying hard to remain in the right path.
If they commited sin and concealed it then no one woluld be attracted to do their sin.

Jazak allahu khair for the explanation.

      • Sister Ruhijarifa

Thank you for taking the time to read it and comment, I got that part from another online article reminding us the importance and significance of not revealing what Allah has covered and explaining the resulting consequence as you concisely pointed out the main reason sins should be concealed because
" they make me feel as if doing sin is no big deal and it is stupidity to be trying hard to remain in the right path"

From the Al Imraan in the Holy Quran "And Remind for verily a reminder benefits the believer"(51:55)
Transliteration Wathakkir fainna alththikra tanfaAAu almumineena

        Translations:-
Abdullah Yusuf Ali But teach (thy Message) for teaching benefits the Believers.

Mufti Taqi Usmani And keep reminding, because reminding benefits the believers.

Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall And warn, for warning profiteth believers.

Sahih International And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers.
        French

Notice in all translations the word 'believers' remains constant , in arabic ALMUMINEENA
The aya didnt say Wathakir fainna althikra tanfaAAu ALMUSLIMEEN (muslims)

Because many Muslims (or throughout the stages in their life) remain Muslims but arent BELIEVERS, and this Aya urges us to remind because THE BELIEVERS (like you) will benefit when they recognise the reminder.

May Allah strengthen your & mine and all Muslims beliefs further & may Allah reward you in dunya and akhera.

    • Sufyan Ath-Thawri said it is better to face Allah with 70 sins (or transgressions) between you and Him then to face Allah with ONE sin which you have committed against a fellow human being.

Final note, Make this Ramadhan youre metamorphoise. For those whom have a problem praying, then start now. If you don't read Quran, start today. If you are surrounded by friends whom encourage you to bad things, note that most times no one says "yes go do that" but you may have friends that are suggestive or their life philosophy is not a positive influence on your deen then this is not good company to keep.

In an authentic Hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "A person is likely to follow the faith of his friend, so look whom you befriend." [reported by Abu Dawood & Tirmidhee].

Mixing with followers of any way other than that of the Guidance results in a change in one's behaviour, morals and conduct. If we accompany such friends, then we inherit their habits.

Allah the Exalted says in the Qur'an: "And (remember) the Day when the wrong-doer will bite his hands and say: Woe to me! Would that I had taken a path with the Messenger. Woe to me! If only I had not taken so- and-so as a friend! He has led me astray from this Reminder (the Qur'an) after it had come to me." [25:27-29].
He also says: "Friends on that Day will be enemies one to another, except al-Muttaqoon (i.e. those who have Taqwah)." [43:67]

Take this Ramadhan as a valuable opportunity to go to the masjid and mix amongst the pious ones there. Surround yourself with who will benifit your akhera (afterlife) not only your duna (this world)

      • Your comments are commendable.

Also another astonishing fact in our holy book the Quran is the miracles.
One I love to ponder is the following Mathematical Miracles of the Quran taken from http://www.miraclesofthequran.com/mathematical_03.html :-

            WORD REPETITIONS IN THE QUR'AN

" There are many examples of this fascinating Qur'anic aspect. One example of this is the number of repetitions of certain words in the Qur'an. Some related words are surprisingly repeated the same number of times. Below is a list of such words and the number of repetitions in the Qur'an.

The statement of "seven heavens" is repeated seven times. "The creation of the heavens (khalq as-samawat)" is also repeated seven times.

"Day (yawm)" is repeated 365 times in singular form, while its plural and dual forms "days (ayyam and yawmayn)" together are repeated 30 times. The number of repetitions of the word "month" (shahar) is 12.

The number of repetitions of the words "plant" and "tree" is the same: 26

The word "payment or reward" is repeated 117 times, while the expression "forgiveness" (mughfirah), which is one of the basic morals of the Qur'an, is repeated exactly twice that amount, 234 times.

When we count the word "Say," we find it appears 332 times. We arrive at the same figure when we count the phrase "they said."

The number of times the words, "world" (dunya) and "hereafter" (akhira) are repeated is also the same: 115

The word "satan" (shaitan) is used in the Qur'an 88 times, as is the word "angels" (malaika).

The word faith (iman) (without genitive) is repeated 25 times throughout the Qur'an as is also the word infidelity (kufr).

The words "paradise" and "hell" are each repeated 77 times.

The word "zakah" is repeated in the Qur'an 32 times and the number of repetitions of the word "blessing" (barakah) is also 32.

The expression "the righteous" (al-abraar) is used 6 times but "the wicked" (al-fujjaar) is used half as much, i.e., 3 times.

The number of times the words "Summer-hot" and "winter-cold" are repeated is the same: 5.

The words "wine" (khamr) and "intoxication" (saqara) are repeated in the Qur'an the same number of times: 6

The number of appearances of the words "mind" and "light" is the same: 49.

The words "tongue" and "sermon" are both repeated 25 times.

The words "benefit" and "corrupt" both appear 50 times.

"Reward" (ajr) and "action" (fail) are both repeated 107 times.

"Love" (al-mahabbah) and "obedience" (al-ta'ah) also appear the same number of times: 83

The words "refuge" (maseer) and "for ever" (abadan) appear the same number of times in the Qur'an: 28.

The words "disaster" (al-musibah) and "thanks" (al-shukr) appear the same number of times in the Qur'an: 75.

"Sun" (shams) and "light" (nur) both appear 33 times in the Qur'an.

In counting the word "light" only the simple forms of the word were included.
The number of appearances of "right guidance" (al-huda) and "mercy" (al-rahma) is the same: 79

The words "trouble" and "peace" are both repeated 13 times in the Qur'an.

The words "man" and "woman" are also employed equally: 23 times.

Will they not ponder the Qur’an? If it had been from other than Allah, they would have found many inconsistencies in it.
            (Qur’an, 4:82)

The number of times the words "man" and "woman" are repeated in the Qur'an, 23, is at the same time that of the chromosomes from the egg and sperm in the formation of the human embryo. The total number of human chromosomes is 46; 23 each from the mother and father.

"Treachery" (khiyanah) is repeated 16 times, while the number of repetitions of the word "foul" (khabith) is 16.

"Human being" is used 65 times: the sum of the number of references to the stages of man's creation is the same: i.e.

            Human being 65

            Soil (turab) 17

            Drop of Sperm (nutfah) 12

            Embryo ('alaq) 6

A half formed lump of flesh (mudghah) 3

            Bone ('idham) 15

            Flesh (lahm) 12

            TOTAL 65

The word "salawat" appear five times in the Qur'an, and Allah has commanded man to perform the prayer (salat) five times a day.

The word "land" appears 13 times in the Qur'an and the word "sea" 32 times, giving a total of 45 references. If we divide that number by that of the number of references to the land we arrive at the figure 28.888888888889%. The number of total references to land and sea, 45, divided by the number of references to the sea in the Qur'an, 32, is 71.111111111111%. Extraordinarily, these figures represent the exact proportions of land and sea on the Earth today.238
            -----------------------------------------------------------

I have read somewhere else more referance to other repitions including zawaj and talaq and many more I cant recall at the moment.

          • JazakhAllahkhair Sister!

InshaAllah, may this Ramadaan prove to be the best yet for all of us. I shall write more later inshaAllah, as I have only an hour till I have to get up for suhoor, so sleep is calling me.

May we all come closer to Allah in this month, aameen!

  11. Asalamoalaikum everyone,

Firstly, Ramadan Mubarak to each and every one on this website (including the editors and brother Wael) and your families. May Allah swt make this Ramadan even better than the last and give us all the opportunity to be steadfast and regular in our dikhr and ibbadat for this may be our last Ramadan (and Allah swt knows best).

I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize to anyone on this website that I may have hurt through my words (unintentionally) so please do forgive me if I hurt you in any way. My intention was never to do so, rather to help those in need through my experiences and insight.

I want to especially thank brother Wael and the editors of this website for being there for me in the darkest moment of my life when I had lost all hope. I stumbled upon this website eagerly looking for an answer to a question and from thereon I met some great people who have changed my life. This website has become like a second family to me and there isn’t a day that passes by where I don’t check this website for updates.

You all have and are making a difference in our lives and I pray that we all stay united on this website and in this world (inshAllah) with 1 cause: to seek the pleasure and mercy of Allah swt.

  12. Dear editors

If I have written anything of importance in regards to advising youth and the necessity of living halal lifestyles for example:
-I have mentioned the emphasis of living lives exempt from boyfriend girlfriend mentalities.
-Todays social climate paves the way towards a desensitization of what is haram.
-The display of non chalant attitudes towards expressing sins some of which i have been shocked to read and worried that children the age of my own may read, something no parent would want.
-I have often mentioned that I fear that young or impressionable people may take suit simply by observing other peoples careless attitudes towards their sins,
-I have written in my posts a great deal about concealment of sins and why.

I cannot recall all i have endeavored to write but since this website attracts a great deal of musims with problems seeking ISLAMIC ANSWERS; it would be a shame to let anything of benefit which I have written here to digress into the obscurity of a buried archive especially when a great deal of what i have advised comes with hadith and or Quranic backup. I'm sure you can find my posts and improve on them and hopefully make use by referencing them, because it is of great importance to keep these reminders for other muslims.

I invite you to use any and all of what with the grace of Allah I have written and with your better grasp of english, edit the grammar and consistency and add it into one of your links in the tabs above.

Another thing i suggest is, it would be a good idea to perhaps include a reminder of our islamic etiquette and the virtue of HAYA (shyness) to encourage people to be like our beloved Prophet who one of his many virtues was modesty as a reminder for people submit questions that describe their sins sometimes in unnecessary detail.

I would suggest using catchy titles that appeal to the bewildered and searching for solutions to their dilemmatic lifestyles.
And while editors offer advise to people, it would be logical to have links with more comprehensive advise and information using some of the advise I have provided so while they are responding, they can make use of the provided links to make sure that everything is covered.

    • Dear Sister,

Thank you very much. May Allah continue to reward you for your valiant efforts.
I truly believe the points I mentioned are good references to use and (after fixing grammar & spelling and editing for a seamless flow) would be invaluable to have available to people who frequent (or even just read) this site.
The reason Ive come to this conclusion is because while reading peoples problems, I noticed a pattern and even though many issues presented here appear to differ ascetically, however in essence the roots of their problems are very similar.
Allah subhana's gave us rules and guidance through his infinite wisdom not to deprive us or stifle our lives, but to protect us and each other. I believe if applied would make not only life simpler & less problematic but also happier , more satisfying & anxiety free.
Instead of wasting our individual efforts, we as a nation, should unify and focus our collective and organised effort on the areas where we need real change. And by change im not referring to a borrowed ideology force fed to us through western tenets that for example aim to adapt muslim womens freedom of what they perceive is oppression or imposing thought trends that gender is flexible and we are stagnate in our prejudice by not accepting medical or emotional explanation. We ALONE need to fix our social and traditional problems, many of which ive seen have no connection to islam or akhlaq alislam. We need to fix how we have placed a material value on everything even our selves and this is something i touched upon in another post and it is something you will notice that many muslim communities weather rich or poor fall into the trap of greed which leads us back to the worst (in my opinion) sin of all which is arrogance (notice it was the very first sin ever commited when ibless refused to bow unto Adam pbuh because ' Abaa wastakbar' By opening both eyes we will see that the Muslim family & society is disintegrating and this is what is reflected here in this forum and in life and this is what we must endeavor to fix.
The truth is we need no external help to mould us farther away from our shore, all we ever needed was infront of us, that we return to Allah's creed, the constitution of His holy book the Quran, and the teachings & sunah of our prophet that encompasses everything we need to learn from and follow from the day of creation and guides us into the day we return to Him.

My concentration isnt as good as it should be im sure you will make use with my posts and improve on them and inshallah soon we will see a link to anything you find useful from what i have written here over the past days.

  13. Assalamualaikum

Ramadhon is coming. The best and amazing month which is full of His blessing and mercies. Let's start preparing ourselves to welcome that precious time which we have been waiting for months. Let's make a list of target we wish to do in this Romadhon. I really am grateful to Allah for saving me from living in misery, Alhamdulillah Allah gave me a chance to turn back to Him and will never let this chance go. May Allah help us to strive to be the righteous one and keep us away from the evil deeds. May Allah always bless you my brothers and sisters. May we have a peaceful life and may He grant us Jannah. Amin. Keep Hamasah 🙂

  14. Alhumdullilah in australia Ramadan is in 20th July may Allah give us chance to fulfill our Ramadan this year. Amin

  15. Ramadan is here, The month that is blessed;
Ramadan is here, The month we love best.
    The month in which the Qur'an was sent;
A time of great blessing in which to repent.
    Fasting for Allah is a great Muslim deed;
    Controlling desires and Suppressing greed.

Ramadan is coming, Increase your Iman(faith).
Ramadan is coming, Recite the Qur'an.
    Take "Suhoor" in the dead of the Night;
No eating or drinking during the daylight.
    Refrain from bad deeds and repent your soul;
The pleasure of Allah is our only goal.

Even if there is hunger, remember your Lord
And wait until 'Iftar' to earn your reward.
Fasting is one of the gifts of Allah
Given to believers to increase 'Taqwah' (piety).
    We pray to Allah to put right our hearts;
Ask for forgiveness from Allah and make a new start.

    Raising our hands we ask for his 'Rahmaa';
Hear us our Lord and grant us 'Jannah'.

    Amin
