Sex at the age of 13?

mercy forgiveness repentance tawbah

Hello I am an 18 year old, a few years a ago I committed (probably) a sin which I don't know if it counts, I've read somewhere that your sins before puberty doesn't count and I want to know if mine counts.

At the age of 13 or 14, I was lured into having sex with someone by my cousin he kept trying to convince me that it's OK because you're still not puberted, and that sounded pretty logical to me at that time so I did it because part of me was saying it's OK.

Now I want to know that if it still is a sin or not and do I have to repent for it or not.

  1. Salaam..of course it's a sin
All of you committed a very serious act and your parents will carry it also because they are responsible of you and should know we're you are !Look at 13 teen you are old enough to know .They even teach sex education at schools to 10yr olds..some girls mature EARLY but 13 you are a young teen...Thats why knowledge in ISLAM is important. This will lead you to the fear of Allah provided you PRAY 5 TIMES and adhere to the Hannah and read Quran DAILY.. Environment is very important also

Who you hang with ..you become!!!Next Allah is all forgiving and will always except your mistake..but never take advantage .repent and move on...

  2. Your cousin lied to you. You were technically a child and in some countries, no matter what you did willingly or not, you were the victim of rape. You were tricked and lied to. This is how sexual predators operate. They convince very young people to get involved sexually because young people are easy to fool. Although you knew right from wrong, this is a perfect example of how young people can be manipulated into doing haram things. Regardless, make Taubah. Ask Allah to help you heal through this unfortunate experience, to protect you from people like your own relative and to keep you on the right path. In addition, stay far away from the relative who convinced you to get involved sexually. They are an evil person. And probably have done this before, and will do it again. Allah is Al Rahman. The Most Merciful.

  3. This calamity is not the first and it will not be the last. The strongest temptation is the temptation of men by women and of women by men.

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

The mixing of one gender with the other is the cause of fitnah. When men mix with women, it is like mixing fire and wood.

    Al-Istiqaamah, 1/361

We ask Allah to accept your repentance and that of every sinner, and we pray that you will learn from this experience the hard and bitter lesson of how Allah wants guidance and righteousness for His slaves, whereas the Shaytaan and his cohorts want to misguide them and lead them astray.

Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Allaah wishes to make clear (what is lawful and what is unlawful) to you, and to show you the ways of those before you, and accept your repentance, and Allaah is All‑Knower, All‑Wise.

    27. Allaah wishes to accept your repentance, but those who follow their lusts, wish that you (believers) should deviate tremendously away (from the Right Path).

    28. Allaah wishes to lighten (the burden) for you; and man was created weak (cannot be patient to leave sexual intercourse with woman)”

    [al-Nisa’ 4:26-28].

But what has happened has happened. Now the most important thing that you has to do is to repent,

    jazak Allah

  4. How old was the boy when this act between you two occurred? This is really really important.

Depending on his age, it might not even count as sin on you and may even classify as statutory rape on his part.
