Struggling with depression and anxiety

Mental health problems

Asallam malikum brothers and sisters

May peace and blessing be upon our Prophet always.

Currently I'mm faced with many trials from Allah swt. I'm here for some answers from my brothers and sisters

I'm currently on anti depressant for anxiety and depression from my shrink [Editor's note: 'shrink' is a term sometimes used to refer to a psychiatrist (mental health doctor)]

But recently I feel very overwhelmed with feelings like I'm about to lose control over my self or go into psychosis or something. I feel like my mind is losing its control - rather worried. Is there any wazifa to cure this problem?

I'd advise you to get in touch with your psychiatrist and talk with them about what you've been experiencing. It may be that they can adjust your medication and arrange some talking therapy (such as CBT - cognitive behavioural therapy) to help you. In the meantime, make sure you're taking your medication as prescribed and using any relaxation techniques you've been shown.

It can be really worrying to have feelings of losing control of yourself. These feelings can often occur in anxiety, when people's anxiety levels get high and they feel overwhelmed. However, these are extremely unlikely to actually be related to psychosis, so try not to let this worry get worse - inshaAllah your psychiatrist can reassure you about this.

You may wish to read the articles on this website about wazifas and duas.

    May Allah ease your burdens.

I don't know if there is a cure for this, but i have this problem from time to time and i don't take medication. Well, whenever i feel this way, salah cures it. If i am between salat, then i make dhikr (istighfar) and this helps tremendously with feelings of sadness and depression. This is usually an indicator that i need to increase my ibadah. Also you may find doing i'tikaf for a day or so, whatever you decide, InshaAllah Ta'ala. Also too, increase your dua for others.

    Fi AmanAllah
