Do I have to take a ghusal?

Allah loves purity

aslam o alikum
I want to ask a question that I have heard- that ghusal is compulsory after intercourse with wife but my question is that during sexual arousal or watching sex movies a sticky fluid comes out!

In that condition is ghusal mandatory or just to wash that particular part of cloth and organ is enough?
Kindly guide me in this aspect as soon as possible!

  1. Salaams,

First of all, you shouldn't even be watching sexual movies. Pornagraphy is haraam. I just have to put that out there.

To answer your question, ghusl is required of a man whenever he engages in sexual activity with a woman (penetration of the vagina) or ejaculates fully. If you have a wet dream at night in which you have a full ejaculation, you would need a ghusl in the morning before you could pray. This is the same if you ejaculate due to masturbation or any other type of arousal.

However, if you have pre-ejaculate fluid seep out of your penis without a full orgasm, making wudu and washing the clothes/private parts is all that's needed for you to pray. A ghusl is not necessary in these cases, but if you have doubts about whether there was a full ejaculation or not in any case you should err on the side of caution and take a full ghusl.
