I want to convert from Islam to Christianity so I can get a job

Muslim-Christian marriage

Muslim-Christian marriage

Assalamuailaikum,

I want to convert from Islam to Christianity, but still love Islam.

The problem is that being a Muslim, I see a lot of other Muslims who are very rich and well-settled thinking that because they came from some other part of the world that they can act arrogantly with lower middle class guys like me;  they don't even answer the salaam.

Despite being an educated person, I am still jobless. there are many relatives, friends, etc. who can help me get a job, but they don't. But if I convert to Christianity I will be able to get a job and at least I can survive in this world.

I know I would be thrown in hell in the hereafter, but what to do? I have tried my level best and sought help from many, but no one comes to help. I am fed up of this after trying it for the last 5 years. Overall I can say that Islam is the best religion without any doubt, yet it's followers are the worst -including me. So I want to leave the religion where people have no unity, fight with each other, are selfish, jealous, have an attitude, are arrogant, etc.

-wahab

  1. My dear brother in Islam, I can understand your hardships. This life is not easy and sometimes you cannot help but wonder if being a Muslim is hindering your opportunities. However, please know that this is the work of the Shaytan. He has got you so consumed that you are thinking leaving this beautiful religion and straying towards the path of Hellfire. Please brother, don't ever compare Islam to the followers. You see good and bad in everybody. Do you truly believe Christians are ALL good people ?? If anything, 90% don't follow what they should. You are blessed and lucky to be a Muslim, have ONE book that cannot be recreated to follow. Everything you need to know, every dilemma you may have you can count on Allah to help you. He is with the believers and He will test you throughout this life to see who will stay on the right path. This is another test, please don't give in to the works of the Shaytan. Think of the afterlife, how will you meet with the Creator and tell Him you chose to leave this religion simply due to world affairs ? Everything in this world is nothing compared to the afterlife; that is when life begins . Look at the number of suicides caused by 'Christians" everyday, just because they are unhappy ... yet many Muslim believers have nothing but with prayer and help from Allah they are content with whatever comes their way. You say if you become a Christian your friends can help you get a job ? But do you not know that Allah is the sustainer and is the only one who can help you. When He wills for you to get a job, no one can stop it. He has a plan for you, please do not despair ! It breaks my heart knowing you would want to leave this religion simply due to a job and these arrogant people you have came across with, but not ALL Muslims are like that. Follow the Quran and the Sunnah, stay close to the Deen and I guarantee you Allah will reward you for your patience. You see people converting to Islam, they have been guided and have found peace so please do not do the opposite.

Increase in your prayers, make Duaa and ask Allah to guide you. Don't despair and don't give in to this temptation you are having. Please keep me updated and if you have any other questions let me know.

    Your sister in Islam.

  2. Dear Wahab,

If you believe in the One Creator as preached in Islam, please know that no matter where you go and what work you do, sustenance comes from only the Creator.

The context that you explain to justify the change of your religion is a testing field for you.

You noted that you tried your best at least for 5 years. If you can put your trust firmly in Allah, He will find your rizk (including employment).

  3. dont do dat

  4. Salamualaikum Wahab

Allah swt does not put a burden on a nafs beyond its capacity (the last Ayah of Surah Baqarah).
Everyone is accountable for their own deeds and noone will be judged unfairly. The greatest of deeds will not bear any weight if the person doesnt have Imaan in Allah swt, His messengers and the day of judgement.

These are testing times for you. These are also times when you earn the greatest deeds and closeness to Allah swt by not giving up and keeping Faith.

It doesnt matter which faith you are, you will only earn what Allah swt has ordained for you. Islam is the most beautiful religion but before that it is the ultimate truth. There is no doubt in what the Quran says.

Therefore it is no use to relate faith with what you will earn (as livelihood). I would suggest that you start reading Surah Kahf with understanding of what it says - to start with, understand the last 10 Ayahs and listen to some explanations and back grounds of it (I would recommend Nouman Ali Khan's khutbas or lectures on Surah Kahf).

From one muslim brother to another, please just do this and dont lose trust in Allah swt. Do not listen to what people say, save yourself and your family from the punishments of the hell fire.

I live in the uk - if there is anything I can do to help your employment situation, you can write back here and we will take it from there. I intend to do everything i can to help insha Allah.

    regards,
    Saqib

  5. salam brother, the first comment i posted was to test and see if it will get posted.

you want to sell your religion just because of duniya. you want to willingly admit your self to hell fire for all eternity just for miser return in this world.

what you are going through, brother, is a test from ALLAAH. HE is testing you to see your level of imaan. and already you are failing. you are not even contemplating doing a bad thing/activity/business to make money, what you are contemplating is you want to leave the religion completely.. dont get me wrong, i not advising you to do bad thing to make money, which is by far, a lesser evil compared to apostasy. doing a bad business/activity is not an option in islam, and it is considered as haram.

how much are you going to make in the job your christian relatives and friends will get for you??? if this friends and relatives of yours are kind enough, must you leave your religion before they get a job for you??? couldnt they get you the job whilst you are still on your islam??? they want to exploit your weakness, which is poverty and use it against you. and yet you fail to comprehend. this friends and relatives of yours are your worst enemies, if you but know. because they are inviting you to the blazing fire of hell and you are blindly following them. then where is your thinking, your sense of reasoning brother???

even if you will dwindle in poverty for your whole life in this world, its just for a short time. and even if you will be the richest in the whole world, that enjoyment would just be for a while before you die.

the life of this world is just amusement and play, a temporary enjoyment for a while. true success and everlasting enjoyment is in paradise, dont you see brother???

you also said you want to leave islam because of some evil deeds some bad muslims are doing?? you know very well that what those bad muslims are doing is unislamic. if someone does something which is contrary to the teachings of islam, then you are doing a grate injustice if you blame islam or muslims for his actions. in the first place, what those people are doing is contrary to islam, then why would you blame islam or muslims for what they are doing??? a true muslim follows stigently the doctrine and teachings of islam, a true muslim will never hurt or kill a nonmuslim for no reason, not to even talk of killing his own muslim brothers. a true muslim is alway kind, good, honest and humble. a true muslim gives his wealth in charity inspite of love for it. a true muslim sees other muslims as his brothers irrespective of race or tribes. the bond between a true muslim to other muslims is even stronger than the bond between him and his non muslim relative.

you are just so unfortunate to be among muslims who do not follow the teachings of there religion. for me, i have been with true muslims, and i know from esperience that true muslims are very good people.

i have said much brother, and i believe this WOULD make you change your mind.

    thank you

  6. I mean you admit that Islam is the best religion so stay in the religion and focus on being the best Muslim you can be. Be the kind of Muslim that people like you who have lost faith in Muslims can look at and be like "MashAllah at least this brother is trying his best to be the best he can be, maybe I can be as good as him too." There has been even some non Muslims who have converted to Islam because of the actions of the true Muslims who follow the religion correctly.

You talk about being thrown in hell for eternity lightly. Think about it, you are suffering now with your delimma but when you go to Hell (may Allah seriously protect you from this, Ameen) you will be facing the same bad feelings x a billion and also the pain of heart breaks, grief of losing loved ones, being set on fire continuously over and over again all mixed together into one torturous pain that has absolutely no end to it. Think about it, do you really truly want to go to hell when you know Islam is right and if you do make this decision then you know more often than not that will be your destination?

People are people, there are good people all over the world, there are bad people all over the world. People use their culture and call it Islam while others seriously follow Islam and throw away rituals that go against the religion. This is a decision you need to make for yourself and if you convert yourself to get a job, what if you lose that job and God forbid something happens to you during that time and you won't have time to become a Muslim again. May Allah protect us ALL from this, ameen. Think critically about every decision you are about to make because sometimes a mistake is permanent such as getting in a car accident and forgetting to wear a seatbelt. This type of decision is similar in a spiritual sense.

  7. Walekumsalam Brother,

To be frank, I got offended reading your post and an immediate response I got in my mind was – Yes you can, you can do whatever you want( ie. you can convert from Islam to Christianity) ( I don’t mean it though)

But yes, I will try to say what I feel and based on my understanding of Islam so far & my personal thinking. So think once over what I am going to say.

We are sent here with a definite purpose (to worship Allah), we are going to be here for a limited period ( the maximum one can have a hundred year or so…that’s it), we all have to die or say have to enter eternal life that we will be living forever. Allah(Swt) sent Quran to us for our guidance and left the rest to us in terms of ‘choices’. Allah has made us free to do what we wish in this life, Allah(swt) has warned us how we will punished or rewarded for the choices that we make in life. If you choice to leave Islam, you can, but you will punished for this as you already know. Your suffering in this world will be few and not that grave but can you show your face to your creator after you leave him and his religion?!! Don’t you see that the sufferings (punishments) you will get in hell are bigger and more severe than of this world?!! On top of that, you will have to suffer there forever and you will then have no way back to correct yourself or repent. You said “ if I convert to Christianity I will be able to get a job and at least I can survive in this world”. But how would you survive in the eternal life that you will have to live forever. Have you thought of this as well?

Just having experience of some arrogant or selfish Muslims who acts arrogantly towards others or who do not help you, who even don’t even respond to salam, who fights blah blah as mentioned by you, but don’t you realize that our relgion ie. ISLAM IS PERFECT BUT ITS FOLLOWERS ARE NOT. Don’t you realize that if one becomes a Muslim, it cannot guaranteed or turn him to a perfect person in just one go (i.e. belief) !! we are supposed to be perfect, we have been given this life to become perfect, atleast to our possible best. May we not become perfect but our aim should be to become so. Why you think that such handful Muslims represent Islam, its not them but our prophets like Muhammad (SAW) who represent Islam. As a Muslim, its our duty to improve ourselves from all sorts in light of Islam, but we are human being only, not some angels or prophets, so we all could not be perfect like our religion but we aim for so or atleast try to be so
Even fights, arguments, tiff take place in a ‘family’ but does it mean that we/our parents/siblings/relatives are not. do we leave our parents or family because of the fights, arguments?. Remember, good and bad people exists everywhere no matter what religion do they follow. I hope you are getting what I am trying to say. If some Muslims are doing things which is harming image of Islam especially in the eyes of Non Muslim then its our duty to stand for our religion and do our best to enhance the image of Islam and to correct such Muslims who are doing wrong thing than just sitting giving opinions about them or leaving that religion. Christianity or any other faith can you give job but can they save you from hell and can give you salvation??

You are suffered just for 5 years in form of being jobless. Don’t you realize that there are hundreds of Muslims as well as non Muslims who are suffering in one way or other. So you are not alone as you are seeing yourself. Don’t you realize that Allah has clearly said “And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits)”. So we all have to go through some sort of tests, may be this is your test.

Don’t you know or realize that inpsite of believing that Islam is only true religion, still you are getting thoughts of gong away from it, such negative thoughts about our religion are from Shaitan (Satan). He is trying to mislead you by putting such negative thoughts and you are becoming a victim of his evil deeds. Do you wish to be burn in hell fire alongwith him?? Think about it too.

You have asked your friends/ relatives for helping you but don’t you think that you could asking wrong people to help you out?? If you see them not helpful , then still hoping to receive help from them, you actually fooling yourself and satan is taking advantage of your situation. Are you sure you have put your best efforts in getting job, or you have put your best efforts in right direction and in right manners?? Evaluate your efforts and their degree.

Have you asked Allah(swt) for his help and mercy on you? These worldly people can give you nothing but only Allah(Swt). If you have his help, then only you can have anything everything. Hasbunallahu wa ni`mal Wakil': حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ. Allah (Alone) is Sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs (for us).

I hope and pray that you would reconsider everything and would return to right path. If you still have belief in your heart then sincerely repent to allah and turn to him for his help and recite the following-
After Esha Prayers every night read HasbunAllah wa Ni'mal Wakil - 575 times & should read Durood/Salawat Before and After - 11 times
Ar-Razzaaq (The Provider)The Sustainer, The Provider.- recite as much as you can.

Keep your saleh regular and make lots of Duas to allah (swt) and start afresh looking for a job, update your resume, take help of internet , read newspaper, and you can even start earning by having a part time/weekend job. No job is big or small, its just about our attitude and thinking. If you are earning halal, then why not, don’t give up this easily, giving up and thinking negative about anything will give you nothing.

I have been jobless for sometime, so I can understand your pain and how frustrating it can be but giving up is not the solution, selling off your soul (religion) for sake of job is not a right decision , of course. Turning materialistic will give you nothing at the end and you know you life has to end someday.

    Save yourself.

    Your Sister

  8. Aslaam

Brother, I'm telling yo...PLEASE have faith in Allah. I was jobless for quite a while but I tried my best and had continuous fatih in Allah and now I have a job. You have to try as hard as you can and stay with Allah...I know as I am an example of your situation but I didn't have no relatives or nothing to help me...I did it ALL by my self with Allah's help. If you want to leave Islam for this dunya - which isn't worth nothing, then your loss.

    May allah help you

  9. PS-
I had read this story on internet, so googled it out especially for you.

Being a Muslim and the struggle to find a job

“Akhi, how can you go to a job interview with that beard? Trim it down a bit.” “Akhi, why are you being so extreme? Just shake her hand during the interview; Islam makes exceptions for necessities, and this is definitely a necessity.” “Akhi, why don’t you just ‘exaggerate’ a bit in your CV or when you are being interviewed? You’re not lying, you’re just exaggerating a bit, and that’s acceptable, isn’t it?”

These are words and questions that I have heard numerous times in many different occasions, and I assume many of you have heard them , so what’s the answer to them?

Alhamdulillah, I am someone who has been blessed with a beard, and I do not shake hands with women, so how did I deal with the above so-called “obstacles”?
Let me tell you my story.

As a university student in this current age, the method of getting jobs is to apply while you are studying in your final year, or apply for a placement in your penultimate year, and this is exactly what I did. I knew that job-opportunities are scarce and competition is high, so I applied early to try to avoid any disappointment. Because I live in London, I wanted to find a job in London so that I don’t have to move out and live in a different city where Islam is not as widespread, and where I don’t have any friends. However, when I looked at the opportunities available, and the nature of my degree, I did realise that it might be difficult to get a job in London, so I made my first compromise in that I would accept job offers in Southern England.

When applying for jobs, I ensured that I didn’t lie in my CV, and when answering the competency questions, or participating in a phone interview, I also ensured that everything I said was true. I won’t deny that in my first few interviews/answers to competency questions, there were some “exaggerations” from my part, but Alhamdulillah I didn’t get those jobs, and I pray that Allah will keep me steadfast in not doing this again. When I got to my first final-stage job interview, which was for a job in Southampton, I received the usual comments and “advice” that I should trim/shave my beard, and shake hands with a woman if she put her hand forward, but what stopped me from listening to this “advice” is that I knew that my sustenance comes from Allah, so how can I ever get a job if I disobey Allah in the process? Even if I do get a job, how can I ever expect to have any barakah in this job if I disobeyed Allah in the process?

The first interview, as expected, didn’t go too well and I didn’t get the job. My second interview was in Slough, and again I tried to maintain Islamic principles when attending the interview and not do anything that displeases Allah, but again I was rejected. Being rejected in the final stage of a recruitment-process is very disheartening because it means you have already gone through all the previous stages of answering competency questions, phone interview, etc., and fallen at the last hurdle. What makes it even more annoying is when they tell you not to feel bad because you have been specially selected from hundreds, sometimes thousands, of people to attend the final stage.

Now that I had two rejections at the final stage of the recruitment process, my motivation was lowered and the ‘need’ for compromise began to hit me. The compromise could be in my deen; e.g. trim my beard or shake hands, etc., or it could be in where I am willing to work. Again, Allah reminded me of the importance of abiding by His laws, and that only He controls my sustenance, so I chose to compromise where I am willing to work; now I was willing to work anywhere within the UK.

My third final-stage interview was in Aberdeen. It was a two-day assessment centre, and I was thinking how much of a waste it must feel if I go all the way to Aberdeen and stay for two days, only to end up with a rejection, and guess what? That’s exactly what happened.

All of the previous interviews I mentioned were in my penultimate year, when I was applying for a placement, and at the beginning of my final year I made my third compromise: I was now willing to work for any company in my sector, anywhere in the world. I applied to over 50 companies!!
As time went by, I got more and more rejections, some in the final stage of the recruitment process. The total number of companies that I was waiting to hear from was quickly decreasing, and so were my hopes of finding a job in my sector. Despite all of that, I kept on reminding myself that Allah is al-Razzaaq, and that only He can provide for me, not my physical appearance, or my actions, and that is what kept me going.

As time went on, and I was coming closer to completing my degree without securing a job, I made my fourth compromise: I began to apply for teaching positions as the hopes of working in my sector were diminishing, and becoming a teacher would be my back-up option. I then heard back from a company which I had previously applied to, and they invited me to attend a first-stage interview, and Alhamdulillah they then progressed me further to the final stage assessment centre based in Aberdeen. Approaching the assessment centre, I was thinking to myself, this is going to be another rejection; oh well, I’m used to it by now. Alhamdulillah, the assessment centre went fine and at the end of it, I sat down with a HR representative so that he can give me feedback on how I had performed. The feedback was good, Alhamdulillah, and I was getting very excited; then came the killer question. The question was (paraphrased), “It‘s physically visible that you are someone who practises his faith a lot, so do you think it will affect you in any way if you are to work with us?” A lot of things went through my head at that moment, but I decided that I would be honest in my answer and not hide anything , so I replied that it shouldn’t really affect me, except that I am not allowed to have any physical interactions with the opposite gender, hence I didn’t shake hands with the female interviewer. We then had a long discussion on how I can best go round this issue without compromising my religion, or sounding rude to others. After that, he said they would get back to me soon.

When I finished the assessment centre, I stayed behind a bit to wait for a brother I had met on the day until he finishes, and while I was waiting, a senior manager came to me and said, “You mentioned in your application form that you were president of a society in university; which society was that?” I swallowed my heart and replied, “Islamic Society”.

A week later, I received a call from the recruitment department saying that they want to offer me a place in their company. I had attended many interviews before this one, and I met many companies, but subhanAllah, out of all the companies I interacted with, this one was the one I felt closest to. And guess where the job is? London, Alhamdulillah.

Looking back at what I had gone through and what I did, now I really appreciate and understand that Allah is the One who provides for me, and that if the whole world goes against me, but Allah is by my side, then I will surely succeed. Who would have thought that being open and frank about my requirements and my belief would actually help in getting me the job? As Allah says in the Qur’an {…They plan, and Allah plans, and Allah is the best of planners} (Surah Al-Anfaal 8:30)

During my application process, I made many compromises, but Allah helped me to ensure that none of those compromises were in regards to the deen, and SubhanAllah, I was rewarded with a job that I could have never dreamed of getting. Out of the over 50 companies I applied to, only two were in London, and this was the only one in central London, but because Allah is the One who controls everything, including my sustenance, He provided me with the best job out of all of the ones I applied to.

I want to use my story as a reassurance and as a message to everyone who is struggling to abide by the commands of Allah that you should keep steadfast and remember that Allah is Al-Aleem (the all-Knowing), Al-Qaadir (the most Able), Al-Razzaaq (the Sustainer), and Al-Qahaar (the Irresistible). Don’t ever think that if you make a small compromise in your deen that you will be successful, because when you make that compromise, you are reducing your reliance on Allah and relying on something else. How can you expect that something else you are relying on to be of a greater help than Allah?

Whenever you are faced with a hardship or a tough decision, remember Allah’s words in the Qur’an: {… And whoever fears Allah, He will provide for him a way out. And He provides him from [sources] he could never imagine. And if anyone puts his trust in Allah, sufficient is [Allah] for him. For Allah will surely accomplish his purpose: Verily, for all things Allah has appointed a due proportion.”} (Surah al-Talaaq 65:2-3)

    • Asalamualaykum Sister Repenter,

Thank you for sharing this story. How very inspiring.

I want to add that what this brother went through to secure a job while never compromising his beliefs is the same when one is trying to secure anything in life. Truthfulness is paramount.

I have been going through a struggle of my own in the "friend" department. When I was younger, I was more insecure and was willing to be friends with just anybody...I saw it as a huge surprise when someone wanted to be friends with me, so I didn't want to do anything to mess it up. For this reason, I would hide very real parts of myself in favor of "friendship" and not being lonely.

However, that ultimately backfired. When I started losing friends due to my façade failing (as it inevitably does), I had to really dig within to find the courage to just be myself, exactly as Allah created me.

I'm not completely over that hump yet. When I am truthful and genuine about a particular matter, I sometimes end up losing people in my social circle or on social media. But fortunately, I am able to see that for every person I've lost in my life, there are many that stuck by the REAL me. And with those friends, I am now closer by virtue of my being truthful about who I am.

So it is never worth it to compromise one's values. Inshallah everyone who reads you story will be able to derive this same courage from it.

      Hugs,

      Nor

  10. Salaam brother. So you think that in Christianity there are no 'people who have no unity, fight with each other, are selfish, jealous, have an attitude, are arrogant, etc'???Forgive me if I am wrong brother, only Allah knows best, but to me it seems like you just want to convert to Christianity because you think it would increase your chances of getting a good job, and are trying to justify yourself by giving such afore mentioned statements. And you should not expect help from relatives or friends, they do not exist just to find you a job! Allah has given you a healthy body and sound mind, has He not?You should just depend on Him and your own abilities, like they say 'Just do your very best and leave the rest to Allah'.And how do you think Allah feels about some one with such little faith?ehhh???Would it not be better if you redouble your own efforts towards finding a good job as well as try to strengthen your imaan, asyou KNOW that Allah is the sole Provider, and nothing is impossible for him? Please rethink your attitude brother and instead of responding to the devil's beckonings, renew your efforts as well as your faith.

  11. i doubt this is a genuine post

  12. I am just going to ask you one question....

You said "there are many relatives, friends, etc. who can help me get a job, but they don't. " my question is have you ever asked help from ALLAH? If you don't raise your hand towards Allah no one can open the gate for your successful life......

  13. I want to convert from Islam to Christianity.

    85. Whoever seeks other than Islam as a religion, it will not be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers.
    86. How will God guide a people who disbelieved after having believed, and had witnessed that the Messenger is true, and the clear proofs had come to them? God does not guide the unjust people.
    87. Those—their penalty is that upon them falls the curse of God, and of the angels, and of all mankind.
    88. Remaining in it eternally, without their punishment being eased from them, and without being reprieved.
    89. Except those who repent afterwards, and reform; for God is Forgiving and Merciful.
    90. As for those who disbelieve after having believed, then plunge deeper into disbelief, their repentance will not be accepted; these are the lost.
    91. As for those who disbelieve and die disbelievers, even the earth full of gold would not be accepted from any of them, were he to offer it for ransom. These will have a painful torment, and will have no saviors.
    92. You will not attain virtuous conduct until you give of what you cherish. Whatever you give away, God is aware of it.
    (Quran 3: 85-92)

    But still love Islam.

    3. Your Lord did not abandon you, nor did He forget (that you love Islam).
    4. The Hereafter is better for you than the First (Dunya).
    5. And your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied.
    (Quran 93: 3-5)

I know I would be thrown in hell in the hereafter,

    16. But (yet) you prefer the present life (Dunya).
    17. Though the Hereafter is better, and more lasting.
    (Quran 87: 16-17)

    But what to do?

    186. And when My servants ask you about Me, I Am near; I answer the call of the caller when he calls on Me. So let them answer Me, and have faith in Me, that they may be rightly guided. (Quran 2: 186)

"To God belong the Most Beautiful Names, so call Him by them…" (Quran 7: 180)

    60. Your Lord has said, “Pray to Me, and I will respond to you. But those who are too proud to worship Me will enter Hell forcibly.” (Quran 40: 60)

    110. Say, “Call Him God (yaa Allah), or call Him the Most Merciful (Yaa Rahman). Whichever name you use, to Him belong the Best Names.” And be neither loud in your prayer, nor silent in it, but follow a course in between.
    111. And say, “Praise be to God, who has not begotten a son, nor has He a partner in sovereignty, nor has He an ally out of weakness, and glorify Him constantly.” (17: 110-111)

    78. Perform the prayer (the regular Salaats) at the decline of the sun (from Dhuhur), until the darkness of the night (Isha); and the Quran at dawn (Recite it a bit longer in the Fajir Salaats). The Quran at dawn is witnessed (by special Angels during Fajir Salaats).
    79. And keep vigil with it (the Quran) during parts of the night, as an extra prayer. Perhaps your Lord will raise you to a laudable position (or will help you get you a good job).
    80. And say, “My Lord, lead me in through an entry of truth, and lead me out through an exit of truth, and grant me from You a supporting power.”
    81. And say, “The truth has come, and falsehood (the bad thoughts of leaving Islam) has withered away; for falsehood is bound to wither away.”
    82. We send down in the Quran healing and mercy for the believers, but it increases the wrongdoers only in loss.
    83. When We bless the human being, he turns away and distances himself. But when adversity touches him, he is in despair.
    (Quran 17: 78-83)

I have tried my level best and sought help from many, but no one comes to help.

    62. Or, who answers the one in need when he prays to Him, and relieves adversity, and makes you successors on earth? Is there another god with God (that you seek help from)? How hardly you pay attention. (Quran 27: 62)

I am fed up of this after trying it for the last 5 years

"…And whoever fears God—He will make a way out for him. And will provide for him from where he never expected. Whoever relies on God—He will suffice him. God will accomplish His purpose. God has set a measure to all things…..Whoever fears God—He will make things easy for him."
    (Quran 64: 2-4)

Overall I can say that Islam is the best religion without any doubt, yet its followers are the worst -including me. So I want to leave the religion where people have no unity, fight with each other, are selfish, jealous, have an attitude, are arrogant, etc.

    84. Say “Each (of its followers) does according to his disposition. Your Lord knows best who is better guided in the way.” (quran 17: 84)

    • So in conclusion, my brother:

1- You don't need to leave Islam, as Islam has nothing to do with you not getting a job. There are many people from other religions who haven't got a job yet. Or did any Christian ministry promise you any job???

2- You have to fear Allah, rely on him and then call on Him, especially during your night extra prayers (Nawaafil).

3- Go out in search of jobs with full confidence. Also you may want to get some professional certificates or take some internships to improve yourself and your CV (I think "a repenter muslimah" is giving some advice on how to search for a job).

Allah will make a way for you, and provide for you from where you never expected, Insha'Allah. Just continue to have faith in Him and rely on Him with full hopes. May He ease things for you!!!

    • One of the best posts I have ever read. Thank you very much Issah, and Alhamdulillah! Allah SWT has given you the knowledge to enlighten others.

I wish that many people like me read this post again and again.

      Was salam

      • Jazaakallahu Khairan Brother, but I didn't say anything-Astaghfirullah. Allah is The Most Knowledgeable, and He is the Only One speaking to the brother with his verses. May He guide us through the Holy Quran!!!

  14. asalamu alaikum,

if you think becoming a Christian will solve the problem than you are wrong. how is it a lot of Christian out of jobs and cant find any employment? plus its white folks, color rules, unfortunately.

no one is perfect but their isn't any unity like the Muslims. the hospitality I received from a stranger, just cause I'm a Muslim. money I dropped, a Muslim rushed to give my money etc. a non Muslim would have ran a mile with the money. or when you go shopping, but you are short on money, sometimes you can pay next time you come or let you off. a non Muslim in most cases want every single penny/cent. you don't know what you have, till its gone..

to help you with employment do voluntary work, it will be good for experience and increase your chances of finding a job, also join agencies to find you work etc.. redo you C.V.. improve your cover letter, spec letter etc..

its not worth sacrificing the hereafter for this short life, only a fool would. think wisely...

    ma salama...

  15. Assalaamu Alaykum Brother,

Key things to do (I will discuss them further below)

    1) Study the Seerah
    2) Be proactive in job searching

I am not going to go into huge details but I will say one thing. You talk about how you want to leave a religion with selfish people and those who are arrogant etc but try changing the way you think about it..
Are you measuring Islam based on the Muslims (who are not infallible - many of us lie and cheat and commit haraam) or are you basing it on Islam - which is perfect.

You seem to have acknowledged that fact by your comment: Islam is the best religion - and the followers are the worst. Unfortunately there is a lot of truth in this - mainly because we do not stick to the Qur'an and the Sunnah.

"O People, no prophet or apostle will come after me and no new faith will be born. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand my words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the Qur'an and my example, the Sunnah and if you follow these you will never go astray. " Remember, one day you will appear before Allah and answer for your deeds. So beware, do not astray from the path of righteousness after I am gone." The Prophet's sallallaahu 'alayhe wa sallam last sermon.

So you say you love Islam. And you believe in Allah in the Last Day -and acknowledge that you will enter hellfire if you leave Islam then why are you still considering leaving Islam? There is no logic in it. Think about this again!

"I know I would be thrown in hell in the hereafter, but what to do? I have tried my level best and sought help from many, but no one comes to help."
What is more important to you? Succeeding in this life/succeeding in the next life? You have sought help from many but what about seeking help from Allah? No one can help you except Him and if No one Helps you but Allah helps you you are successful and if everyone helps you but Allah does not Help you then what chance do you have?!

The problem is that being a Muslim, I see a lot of other Muslims who are very rich and well-settled thinking...

Stop comparing yourself to them - their riches come from Allah - and if they are arrogant, it does not reflect on you it only reflects on them. Stop seeking their approval and let go of lacking approval for yourself.

Despite being an educated person, I am still jobless. there are many relatives, friends, etc. who can help me get a job, but they don't. But if I convert to Christianity I will be able to get a job and at least I can survive in this world.

Unfortunately it is common to struggle to find a job in this day and age, but how is converting going to help you. And again whats the point of having provision in this life if you spend all of eternity eating Zaqqum in the fire of hell! You seem to think converting to Christianity as the answer to all of your problems - no it will be the root cause of more!

My relatives are experts in careers advice for the unemployed so here is their advice. (They have got people into work who are unemployed for years.)Take initiative. Your chances of work drop the longer you are unemployed. Do SOMETHING. Volunteer if you can- and be willing to work any job even if the pay is low. Once you get a job then its easier to change jobs and move up the career ladder. Dont let your ego ruin your chances.
Think about what is stopping you? Do you need help with CV writing, do you lack ambition or confidence? Do you know how to job search? Get the skills you need and apply fo rthe jobs!

So I want to leave the religion where people have no unity, fight with each other, are selfish, jealous, have an attitude, are arrogant, etc.

Here are the points above elaborated:

    Reawaken your Eman (Faith)
    1) Learn about ISLAM not MUSLIMs
    a) Study the Seerah (life of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alayhe wa sallam) in detail: Learn about the Prophet's struggles, his life in details. This is how Muslims should be.
This one is very good for listening to in your car, at home etc: http://www.qalaminstitute.org/seerah/page/3/#.UlGaE1OWnpc

    b) Study the Qur'an
    Again find out about Islam

Just a reminder, just because many Muslims are arrogant, jealous and other things, it doesn't mean that they have to be. Look at the character of the Rasool (sallallaahu 'alayhe wa sallam). We can emulate that and we can change. You can change too. Aim to be a shining example, a beacon and encourage others to as well through your character.

If you do this, if you change yourself for the sake of Allah and let go of pining for a job and pining for others approval (like the arrogant rich people for example) then Wallahi things will go your way. When you let go of this dunya it comes RUNNING after you.
    Look into http://ipersonalenrichment.com/whimsikill/ for this.

    2) Let go of running after the dunya

    3) Be proactive in finding a job and dont give up!

    4) Purify your intentions in getting closer to Allah and make tawbah for any mistaskes.

I hope this helps, but do feel free to post further if you need any more help.

  16. Remember something brother. Leaving the beautiful and perfect religion, Islam will not solve your problems.
Make a connection with your creator and you will find that he is more than willing to help you. He LOVES you. Never forget that.
    Good luck.

  17. dear brother , this life is test , and u expect it to have no hardship , and especially for muslim the hereafter must be priority not this worldly life, to max what will be the consequence that u may die right which one or the other day we have to ,so for this temporary world u are destroying your hereafter which will be forever , please brother be patient and our lord is alwys with us be strong and none has face the hardship that our prophets had faced they took all pain to show us right path , please read hadith and know what our prophets had faced difficulties after which u will realize . and islam is not just religion it is true way of living that is liked by our lord .

    jazakallah khair

  18. Brother, leaving Islam and accepting christanity is not the solution of problem. Do you think all Christians are happy with their lives. No never, they blame each other but we can't understand this. Don't judge Islam religion with the behavior of it's followers. Most of the people in this World have problem with job, financial issues, major are from Christianity and other religion. I request you to not do this foolish act.... Pray from Allah.....he is almighty and owner of everything.
