I am a convert and want to divorce my christian husband islamically
Please I need your advice. I am a converted muslim for more than a year now. I was married in Catholic rites but my husband left me for another woman 9 years ago and never seen him since. I am now working in the Middle East and it is here that I learned, studied and embraced Islam. I have learned that a Muslim woman cannot be married to a Christian man. Based on my situation, (my country does not support divorce) how can I be divorced from my husband in islamic way?

As above bro Wael had stated who should consult to scholar or mufti for proper answer but I will give you my advice as far as I know ( I have read it ), since you were married by Catholic way as u were not muslim then, all u need to do is take divorce legally and you are now haram to you legal husband as Islamic-ally he is not ur husband any more but do consult mufti........

You are no longer married to him according to Islam. Refer,last few ayaats of Surah Mumtahinah.
