Is it right to marry a non-Muslim girl in Ramadan?
My name is Rafeeq and I am from India. I am in love with a non-Muslim (Hindu) girl. This girl is ready to convert to Islam and change her name for me, which would be a very good thing for my parents to agree for this marriage. Is it possible to marry as per Muslim tradition (Nikah) during the month of Ramzan? I am aware that one should remain holy in this month and we are ready to follow the tradition. However, we just want to get married so that we become husband and wife legally and then nobody could harm us. After marriage, we will strictly remain holy until Ramdan is over.
