My father don’t agree to my marriage to the guy I like because he is African.
I have started to grow close to a man who is African. I never thought I would be with an African man before, as being Asian myself its not often the norm. I dont agree with my dad; I feel he’s judgemental and shallow and he even admits to me in his own words that its all about how people see outside not whats inside. I had no intention of a relationship whatsoever and neither did he but its just that as friends we have started to grow closer and I have realised how much of a nice person he is and how well we get along.

My parents are quite strict which is causing a lot of problem for us. Part of their the reason for their strict behaviour is my sister who is not married yet. She wanted to marry a person but my parents didn’t approve him but she faught for her choice and now they have agreed when she is 27. My parents scolded me, my mother slapped me, ….
Father not agreeing to my choice of guy for marriage without any valid reasons
I have been friends with a guy for 4 years and want to marry him but my father is not agreeing to this marriage without any valid reason. He is a practising Muslim and I have done Istakhara which gave me good feelings but I can’t get married to him because I don’t have permission from my father (Wali). My mother is happy with my choice but I need my fathers approval as he is my Wali, to have a valid Nikkah/marriage.
