Can girls write in Islamic words while menstruating?
salam alikum wr wb
I was wondering if any girl that is on her period could write in Arabic or is it sinful i know we can't touch the Quran and stuff but i want to know if it's right or wrong because i'm sure other ladies do teach and write in Arabic too.

Salaams,
I guess you have to clarify what you mean by "write in Arabic". If you mean writing ayats of Qu'ran, I would say it's better not to while you're menstruating. However, if you simply mean writing in the arabic language a letter to someone or a journal entry, or whatever else, then of course you are not prohibited. Otherwise, every woman who speaks Arabic natively would have to take a week off from writing even her own signature every month.

Assalamualaikum,
You can write anything in Arabic, without any doubt. The confusion arises when Quran is concerned, because you are not supposed to touch the Quran in this state.
The scholars say that you can write the Quranic Aayaat if there is a need but you can not touch the Mushaf.
For example, Shaykh Ibn Baaz (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked:
We are female students in the girls’ college and we have to memorise some Qur’aan. Sometimes the tests come during one’s menstrual period. Is it acceptable to write the soorah on a piece of paper and memorise it or not?
He replied:
It is permissible for the woman who is menstruating or bleeding following childbirth to recite Qur’aan according to the more correct of the two scholarly opinions… The same applies to the piece of paper on which Qur’aan is written if necessary.
