The man I want to marriage hasn´t spoken to his father about me

I have a little problem which has caused a lot of confusion on my part. I have been a Muslim all of my life, but was raised with a Catholic mother due to my parents being divorced. I started to go to the masjid two years ago by myself and made some friends there. These girls that I’ve made friends with always talked about this one guy and I’ve never seen him before.

I have not been looking for a partner, there is a muslim Brother that I really like. We work together and like each others company and he has always been very respectful to me. We only see each other at work. We are happy when we are together at work, I feel upset when I have to go home and be away from him.

Parents not agreeing to my choice of wife because she is a different caste

I decided to tell my parents about the girl I want to marry, and I did hesitate a little bit first because theres a problem of caste in our family, but then decided that I have not done anything wrong by deciding to marry a girl out of caste.

Did I make the right choice in rejecting a proposal?

I’ve been living in England for most of my life and have only been back to my country once since moving here. I recently planned for a trip back to visit my family. Divorce or Keep Secret Nikkah

I have a situation and I really need help. I live in north American society and I met a beautiful muslim girl 3 years ago. After meeting her couple of times I proposed her and consulted with my parents. My parents spoke to her parents. I was 20 at that time. Her parents did not want to get her married to me at that time and did not say yes or no to my parents. To avoid any problems and thinking both parents will agree any time we decided to have our nikkah done in secret (without a wali). During the 3 years period of nikkah we had intercourse only once.

What is the Islamic thing to do?

In march (about 6 weeks ago) we set a date to marry (June the 5th) and so, I told all my family friends etc that that was the date. After visiting his family three weeks ago, he has come back and said his mother thinks he should “get to know me”.

Parents not agreeing to even talk to the guy..

I have a problem and would like to get some advice on it. I have a friend, a very good friend, who recently proposed to me after talking to his family. His family is fully agreed and happy for us. My family isn’t even agreeing to talk to anyone in his family.

The problem is that we met at a place by accident and then we started talking on the internet and through email. They aren’t liking the fact that we talked so much and that too online mostly.
