I am a christian woman from North America. I met a Muslim man online about 3 years ago. We became very very close friends and eventually we fell in love. We talked about one day getting married and started to even make plans about this. Eventually I was so In love that I took a year off from my university and moved across the world so I could be closer to him. It was perfect! I loved him more and more every day.. every moment. He takes his religion very seriously, and as do I.

I am an amateur athlete, and also give training advice to other Muslim athletes. To put this in context, I train in boxing and other martial arts, and use strength training and running, etc. to get in shape for my activities. I live in the US and work a desk job with long hours. Naturally, Ramadan is a challenge for us.
Am I allowed to break fasting for a day?
I was living away from my wife this Ramadan and she is joining me today. Are we allowed not fast for one day, since I want to enjoy her and this would help me concentrate on the rest of my fasting?
