Assalaamu alaikum. I assume you are concerned with privacy and revealing your information when posting your question. Until your question is published, only our editors can see it. Once published, everyone can see it. However, it is extremely unlikely you will be recognised if you do not put any personal details down. Here are some tips on post privacy and our policy:

4. Important note: maintain your privacy! Sometimes people submit their question, then after the question has been published and answered they ask us to delete it because they afraid that someone who knows them will see it. By policy, we do not delete posts after they have been published. So if you want to keep your identity private, I suggest the following:

-Don't use your real name.
-Change some of the important details
so that your identity will not be recognizable. For
example, if you got married in the masjid five years ago, you might say you got married at a banquet hall seven years ago.
-Change your location. If you live in Egypt, you might change it to Palestine or UAE, for example.

If you are still concerned for your safety or privacy, you can submit a question and request for it to be private. Private questions can only be seen and answered by editors, and cannot be viewed publically.

Lastly if you are concerned about revealing your mistakes and sins, its true you should hide them, but if you are seeking advice and help it is permissible to reveal them.

    • Simply write without worrying.

No need to make up false events.

Just use names like "questioner123", "Muslima123" which would be true as well, as one who questioner is a "questioner" and if someone is a Muslima, there is still no lying in writing a "Muslim" with a number behind, like the current date or anything of that sort.

Leave the rest to Allah, keep away from "exact details" if you wish and bring out the larger message which you want to convey and ask in your post.

Insha Allah, this should work well.

      Salaam,
      Your brother.
