  1. As Salamualaikum,

Sister Nivine, yes your step father can see you without your scarf, if he has consummated marriage with your mother, because he is considered to be your Mahram. Allah mentioned this is Surah an Nisa, Aayah:

Forbidden to you (for marriage) are: your mothers, your daughters, your sisters, your father's sisters, your mother's sisters, your brother's daughters, your sister's daughters, your foster mother who gave you suck, your foster milk suckling sisters, your wives' mothers, your step daughters under your guardianship, born of your wives to whom you have gone in - but there is no sin on you if you have not gone in them (to marry their daughters),- the wives of your sons who (spring) from your own loins, and two sisters in wedlock at the same time, except for what has already passed; verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

But if he has not consummated the marriage with your mother, then the answers is the opposite, as the Aayah states.

    And Allah Knows Best

    • I just wanted to add that you although you dont need to cover your hair in front of him you do still need to dress modestly around him so avoid tight fitting clothes and ensure you are properly covered.

      • Audhubillahi minashaitanir rajeem bismillahir rahaminr raheem.

I agree here.. dont ever never wear tight dress even if he was ur own father ,, becuase u have to pay respect and dress modestly even at home..

  2. ASSALAMALIKUM - JUST WANT TO SAY THE FEMALES IN MUSLIM COMMUNITY HAS TAKEN PHRASE FOR GRANTED THINKING THAT SCARF IS HIJAB-
THE PROBLEM WITH ALL OF THEM PARTICULARLY THE INODONESIA AND MALAYSIA PALESTENIAN AND MANY INDIANS ALSO- GIRLS AND WOMEN ALIKE I THEY THINK ALLAH HAS TOLD SCARF IS HIJAB AND SHOW THE WHOLE BODY NO PROBLEM-ALLAH SAYS THIS
"O Prophet, enjoin your wives and daughters and the women of the Muslims to draw their outer-garments close round them; it is expected that they will be recognized, and thus not molested..." (33:59)
"Every religion has a morality, and the morality of Islam is Haya (Shyness)".

AND PEOPLE COVER THEIR HEADS AS IS THE VULTURES EYES ARE AFTER THE HEADS OF THE WOMEN AND GIRLS SOTRY THE MAIN REASON FOR THE HIJAB IS TO COVER THE BODY CLEARLY MENTIONED IN THE ABOVE VERSE-

AND THE STEP FATHER IS ALSO ONE OF MANY WHO CAN BE GOOD OR BAD WITH YOU AND SO YOU MUST SAFE GUARD YOURSELF FROM DIRECT INTERACTION AND EXPOSURE WHICH IS NOT GOOD FOR COMPARISON BETWEEN MOTHER AND DAUGHTER -

AL DEPENDS ON THE PERSON YOU MUST JUDGE HIMIF HE REALLY REALLY VERY ISLAMIC AND CARES LES ABOUT YOU AND YOUR DRESSING AND PL STUCDY IF HE IS OBSERVING YOUR FIGURE AND LOOKING AT YOU WHEN YOU ARE NOT OBSERVING -

ALL THESE WILL BE AN ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION ACCORDINGLY YOU MUST BE BEHAVE-

I HAVE SEEN SOME DRUNKARD STEP FATHER CAN EVEN ATTEMPT TO COME TO YOUR ROOM WHEN HE FORGETS HIMSELF IN HIS INTOXICATION ......
AGAIN ALL DEPENDS ON PERSON TO PERSON AND THE RELIGIOUSNES IN HIM-

    HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND

    REGARDS

    • i agree with you 100 percent this happens because people learn Islam online and secondly they dont want to be so called modern muslimah . by acting and clothing like this
