Dreams about Prophet SAW and other spiritual things

woman lady

Assalamoualaikum.

I'm a 23 year old girl. I just keep on dreaming lots of weird things. I recently dreamed about our beloved prophet SAW. It was as if I was in a crowd, and there was the prophet SAW in front. I only saw his back. I was among one of the muslims chosen to do tarawee namaz alongside with our beloved prophet SAW.

Also I keep on dreaming that I'm reciting Surah Fateha, Surah Iklass, Surah Mulk and  the fourth kalimah. I have also dreamed that Saitan was trying to conquer me, but he is not able to do so as I keep on reciting Surahs and that someone is protecting me.

Thanks a lot for the work you are all doing in helping us! May Allah reward you all. Ameen.

  1. wow! sister , seems ur iman so strong.. I wish, I was too in the dream..

  2. AsSalaamu Alaikum Sister Aisha,

MashaAllah, it seems like inshaAllah you have a good message in life, and that you are under the protection of Allah. So keep up with the good deeds, and keep up with chastity your whole life--perhaps Allah will make you understand the dreams someday, inshaAllah. Perhaps you have been invited by Allah to take your tahajjud or Ibadah in general seriously, and perhaps informed that there could be some trials and hard times in life, and that when you rely on Allah and endure patiently, while keeping up with His guidance, He will surely protect and guide you through them eventually, inshaAllah.

Perhaps inshaAllah I could encourage and motivate you by making it known to you that I have really experienced exactly everything you saw in your dreams, so I am among the first to believe you inshaAllah (and I'm sure many people have experienced similar things too inshaAllah).

I saw our beloved prophet four times (thrice when I was a kid, and one time two years ago, and prophet Issah one time when I was a kid--sallallahu alaihima wasallam). In two dreams, I saw him similarly in the same way you saw him. It was like he was leading jihad, and I joined the group but only saw his back (which in my situation might mean da'wah inshaAllah), and in another dream he stood where my grandfather leads salah, and then led the salah. After the salah he greeted everyone near him by hand till he got to me. And in the other dream he was sitting and I was doing something in front of him.

When I told some school friends about three dreams, most of them disbelieved me, and some even laughed and said maybe I saw those Pakistani tablig men. However my beloved Mom told me to keep on being a good boy and keeping up with chastity, and that inshaAllah I will understand as I grow up. MashaAllah one dream repeated itself two years ago, and I am beginning to understand the message, alhamdulillah.

As for reciting surahs and ayahs in dreams, it happens more often, especially the ones that you defeat the Shayateen with the Ayahs (Surah Fateha, Falak, Naas, Ayatul-kursi, and others--sometimes I say only the Shahadah, and other times only the Divine Great Name "Allah").

So my dear sister, my sincere advice for you is to get more closer to Allah, and the message shall become clear to you someday, inshaAllah.

May Allah subhanahu wata'ala grant you the good from your dreams, and protect you against the evils. Ameen!

      • MashaAllah sister Aisha. Please do not forget to make du'a each time you see a dream ok, inshaAllah.

        -----------

According to the prophet ( sallallahu alaihi wasallam ):

‘The righteous dream is from Allaah and the bad dream is from the devil, so if anyone sees something which pleases him then he should only relate it to one whom he loves…’

Summary of what to do upon having a bad dream:

1- Spit on your left three times
2- Seek refuge in Allaah from shaytaan and the evil of what you saw
3- Do not relate it to anyone
4- Turn and sleep on the opposite side to which you were sleeping on previously.
5- Get up and pray if you so desire.

        • Assalamu'alaikom!

Great thing that you wrote that because I've always wondered what to do when having nightmares. But I can't help but be curious about the source of the spitting practice. Think you can inform me about it?

Either way, thank you and jazaka Allahu Khairan for sharing.

          • Wa'alaykumsalaam,

Here you go- The Prophet said:- "If one sees something that they dislikes, they should not tell anyone about it, and they should get up and pray.” (Sunan Ibn Maajah)

"If anyone sees a bad dream that scares him, let him spit dryly to his left and seek refuge with Allah from its evil, then it will not harm him.” (Sahih Bukhaari)

“If any one of you sees a dream that he dislikes, let him spit dryly to his left three times and seek refuge with Allah from the Shaytaan three times, and turn over onto his other side.” (Sahih Muslim).

    • @ShineForYou:

I'm sorry for not responding to your question. Actually I didn't understand you were asking a question, as I was very sleepy when I read your comment (I thought it was an appreciation kind of thing), until when I saw the response to you by brother علي بن عبد الله آل الشيخ‎--may Allah bless and reward him for it.
