Dua for driving tests!
Salaam everyone, i am so grateful alhamdulliah for this website.
I have been learning to drive for ages, well good few years now, and just cannot seem to pass my test. I live in the UK, and i am a good driver but i tend to make mistakes in my driving test. You guys will not believe the amount of tests and lessons i have had, it is literally unbelievable. I hear of people passing in less than six months or in a few tests and it hurts though i try to be happy for them. My sister is paying for the tests because she wanted to help me out, alhamdulliah she is not yet impatient with me, but i fear in the future she may, the tests are expensive aswell.
I do dua, that's all i can do, but just wanted help and advice from you guys, please help people! I am trying to get closer to Allah, in-sha-allah the next test will be a pass, but just wanted to know is there anyone else in the same position or is there any dua or something that i can read to pass! I love you all for the sake of Allah, May Allah bless you all, Ameen!, please answer even if it is short, Jazza-kallah!

Asalamu alaikum,
Sister i can understand your frustration. But first thing is dont compare with other people. Everyone is different. What do you fail on? Practice what you fail on. Do you take your instructor with you? If not do so. Because some exameners can be unfair on a minor may tick of as major. Second opinions and witness is a good thing.
Allah(swt) will accept dua from a fasting person. Best time to do it is just before you break your fast. Also dont keep rushing one test after another.
Also i would advise book your test during non rush hour time. I hope everything goes well inshallah..
Thank you brother, I highly appreciate your help, I fail on different things, like on my 1st test it was the clutch control, second one was not giving way, third driving in2 a no entry, and on the rest I made many more mistakes I don't normally make, and yes I take my instructer with me, but yes dua is all I can do right, and practice, Thank you - Jazza khalla
What if you cannot even progress onto the driving exam because you make so many stupid mistakes like hesitating at the junction, indicating right going left, going off in the wrong direction?
Farha, practice more.
Salam,
I know this reply you have given was years ago, and you have probably passed the theory, but just in general a good dua is ayat kareema in general, I read somewhere it helps in hardships. Idk tho cuz I'm not a scholar it's just something I read somewhere once I think.
Assalaamualaikam
Keep making dua, sister, and trust in Allah. The true test here is to keep strong in your faith and persevere in Islam despite difficulties and frustrations.
It might be worth taking a break from doing the tests and focus on the lessons. What about seeing an instructor who specialises in teaching people who are struggling to pass the test? Sometimes, if we see the same teacher for a long time, the familiarity can mean they aren't as aware of where we are going wrong, as they get used to seeing us do things in a particular way. It may be that even a couple of sessions with a different instructor might help you get a new perspective on what you need to learn. I'm not suggesting that your instructor is bad or that you shouldn't see them, but a new perspective is often helpful. If you get on well with your instructor, you could even ask them if they know of any local courses for struggling learners.
If you know where the test centre is, then you can probably guess some of the parts of the test. For example, if there is only one roundabout nearby, then you'll probably be going round that. If there are some steep hills in the area, go practise hill starts on them. Practise until you know those roads really well and feel confident to manage the hazards and tests there. The better you know the roads, the less scary and strange they'll seem on the day of the test.
From what you've written, I wonder if the anxiety and stress from having failed before could be contributing to you making mistakes on the day. When we put a lot of pressure on ourselves to succeed, we can actually make ourselves more likely to mess up. It might help to learn some relaxation techniques like controlling your breathing. On the day, place your trust in Allah - you will have (inshaAllah) worked hard, practised a lot, and tried to stay calm, so you will have done all you can - if you pass, it is Allah's will... if you don't pass on that occasion, then there will be a reason for this, even if you can't see it just yet - Allah is the best of planners so trust in His judgement and wisdom.
Try not to feel downhearted - a lot of people struggle to pass their driving test, and a lot of people who passed it previously would probably fail it if they had to sit it again. Focus on being the best driver you can be, and keep your faith in Allah.

Study. If they have a manual or booklet, study it carefully. Have your friends or family test you on it. Highlight key points. Then make dua' and try again, Insha'Allah.

With his being the most recent forum I found, I'd like to request for anyone reading this to keep me in their prayers please. Sounds cheeky, but I really do need it. THANK YOU 🙂

Asalam Alikum,
So in last 6 days I successfully passed my test. Today there was one last attempt and I failed it in reverse parking. I had faith in Allah and I smiled my way back home, thinking Allah must have planned something awesome for me for sure. So i came back home I was going through my facebook and came across this dua, which fitted my situation perfectly. So ill start reciting it from now on, I beleive all will go well In sha Allah. Best of luck everyone.
And Ayyub, (Job) as he called out to his Lord, (saying), "Adversity has touched me, and You are The Most Merciful of the merciful." (21:83)

Assalam o alaikum
From my childhood I've been in the company of great scholars and Muftis and I've learned many duaas.
I'll mention two duaas which cover all the best duaas
The best dua which you can do to improve your memory. It's dua of Prophet Muhammad SAW which Allah taught him. "Rabbi Zidni ilman" (O Lord! increase my knowledge)
When you're going to take exam, read this duaa before reading your question paper
"اللھم نور قلبی و اطلق لسانی و زد قوۃ سمعی وبصری و حفظی واجعل لی فوق کثیر من الخلق"
which means, "Oh God, light up of my heart and opene my tongue (i.e, make it fluent) and increase my listening power and visual memorization and Mark and make me over many of Creation"
This duaa will help you remember the things you've learned IA
It really will help you in sha Allah...
Please do duaa for me if anyone of you finds it beneficial. I'll appreciate your feedback
Salaam, I failed my driving test 3rd time today and feel really disappointed with myself. I got 3 minors and one serious. I am a practicing muslim, I pray 5 times a day and was fasting while taking my test. I thought Allah would accept my dua.
Please make dua and pray that I pass on my next test, jizakallah.
