since he has been gone he hasn't drank any thing. may be i was wrong to do this but it had an effect on my family life which i dont want to happen. i did want my husband back without the alcohol as there is no room for 3 in our marriage but now no

the above is a problem in its own right but this. one is bigger regarding our children

i have let him see them when he wishes and talk with them but last night he told me that our children are known as bastards in islam because of the mixed religion marriage i have searched the web looking for this and no where have i found this i always believe children are a gift from God

i dont want him any where near my children if he thinks this of his own blood please help me

  1. As salam sister Dianna..

First of all it is Halal (permissable) to marry the women of the Christians and the Jews. Allah has allowed muslim men to take non-muslims wives from such faiths and as such all the children are legal......Please be comfortable about this...

Now in regards to his habit of alcoholism....your husband is imbibing in a HARAM (forbidden) act and as such i recommend you take the best course of action to secure yourself and your children.....

I would recommend you approach an imam (a islamic scholar) regarding your issue to ascertain the extent to which you should take action......

I would advise a muslim sister the same way as i would advise you.....make a decision and get rid of the problem ASAP.

This is not a unique situation to me......my aunt ,a doctor, is living in Houston right now....her husband is a drunkard...... my aunt still is with him .... but very unhappy......to the point the children are grown up , united, but are confused regarding alot of things in life....

I would love to stop this from happening to anyone....

    and allah know best...

Salam and peace be with you
