The girl was afraid of her father and touched the Quran and made promises unwillingly.

According to what i have read in many articles an oath taken by Quran is not valid.
I want to know whether an oath taken by Quran is valid or not and if it is, how to repent if one fails to abide by it. thank u 4 any replies..

I swore on Quran not to smoke again

My mom forced me to swear on Quran that I wouldnt smoke again and if i did i will suffer from a fatal disease. I cannot keep up with the promise.
