What does this recurring dreams mean?

I have a question about my visit to Makkah for Umrah,it has been two years that whenever I visit Makkah and while doing Tawaaf  I saw some one, he is a human being but his eyes are very different, blue eyes and when ever he looks at me he smiles and he  looks at the Kabba, but I ignore him and continue my Tawaaf.

I have seen him carrying two big bags of red roses, I am not sure maybe rose but it's a red colour flower. I want to know what is this and why is it happening, I have seen him two times until now,and also I have been dreaming Kabba since 15 years.

  1. Asalaamualaykum Sarry,

We are not qualified to interpret dreams here. But according to Ibn Sirin in his book: 'Dreams and Interpretations', 'seeing oneself entering Makkah in a dream may refer to a state of security and peace'. [Sharh as Sunnah, vol 12 p 221] Note, that he says 'may', so this is just an analysis he has made from his study of the Quran and Sunnah. None of us are fortunate enough to be Prophets so do not have the gift of Yusuf (as) who was able to interpret dreams exactly, so in all honesty we should avoid trying to interpret dreams and should just instead ask Allah for the best.

Anyhow, whatever you are dreaming seems to be a pleasant dream maashAllah, well to me it does anyway : ). The Prophet(saw) said, "If anyone of you has a dream that he likes then it is from Allah. He should thank Allah for it and narrate it to others." (Sahih Al-Bukhari)

One should share their dreams with those they like as the Prophet(saw) said, "If one sees a good dream, let him expect good, and not tell it except to those he likes."

The Prophet(saw) also told us, "Nothing is left of prophethood except glad tidings." Those with him asked, "What are glad tidings?" He (saw) replied, "Good dreams." (Sahih Al-Bukhari)

Hopefully seeing the Kaabah and doing Tawaf in your dream is a joyful and pleasant experience for you, so don't think about it too much. Say Alhumdulillah and ask Allah to invite you for Hajj/Umrah soon. I have no idea what the man with blue eyes and the flowers/roses means, just ask Allah to give you good and keep you from harm.

My little sis saw herself doing tawaaf in her dream, the following year her and I went for Hajj. Some time after I returned, I dreamt of doing wudu in Medina and having this urgency to go back to pray in Masjid-e-Nabwi. I was so happy when I awoke and recalled my dream because I really felt as though I was there in Medina and I knew that doing wudu is a like washing oneself pure. Makkah and Medina are the most beautiful places for me and they are so very dear to my heart. InshaAllah, I will go again soon.

Generally Makkah is known as a place of safety and security, so relax and enjoy experiencing this beautiful place and doing tawaaf in your dream, I would most certainly love to see it in mine.

    • Zainab, As-salamu alaykum. If you watch zombie movies or horror movies, or play video games with zombies, then stop. This kind of stuff can affect your mind and give you nightmares. Memorize Ayat al-Kursi and recite it before going to sleep, and Allah will set an angel over you to protect you until you wake.
