  1. Your dream may have some thing to do with your childhood memories. Do you remember any Imam family you had connection with while growing up?

  2. Assalaamualaykum Anam,

SVS's idea is a possibility if you ever had such an acquaintance. You might want to consult Islamic dream-related literature online, such as any e-books that may be available on the topic (I'm unsure of any off-hand). You can also consult other dream books at a local bookstore to see if the guava tree and other symbols in your dream might have any significance. I imagine the meanings in these books are derived from research on others' dreams and lives at the time of the dreams.

    Best,

    Nor

  3. Asalam u laikum. Before I get started I'd like to let you know that it is a major sin to lie about dreams(not saying you have, just letting you know)

THE THREE TYPES OF ISLAMIC DREAMS
Dreams are broken into three parts according to the Sunnah: 1.Ru'yaa - good visions (dreams)
    2.Hulum - bad dreams
    3.Dreams from one's self

Abu Hurayrah narrated Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, "There are three types of dreams: a righteous dream which is glad tidings from Allah, the dream which causes sadness is from Shaitan, and a dream from the ramblings of the mind. (Sahih Muslim).
    True or Good Dreams
We can see true dreams are from Allah Ta'aala as Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, "True dreams are from Allah, and bad dreams are from Shaitan." (Sahih Al-Bukhari).

True believers are more likely to happen to those who are truthful in their lives as Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, "Those of you with the truest dreams will be those who are most truthful in speech" (Sahih Muslim).

Good dreams are also from Allah Ta'aala. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, "If anyone of you has a dream that he likes then it is from Allah. He should thank Allah for it and narrate it to others." (Sahih Al-Bukhari) Good deeds consist of people doing Halaal (lawful) acts.

One should share their dreams with those they like as Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, "If one sees a good dream, let him expect good, and not tell it except to those he likes." (Muslim) An example of this is Yaqoob (AS) telling his son, Yusuf (AS) concerning his dream about eleven stars and the sun and the moon prostrating to him (scholars have said the eleven stars were his brothers, and the sun and the moon represented his mother and father): "He said, "O my son! Relate not your vision to your brothers lest they arrange a plot against you. Verily! Satan is to man an open enemy." (Surah Yusuf 12:5) We know the half-brothers of Yusuf were jealous of him to begin with so telling them the dream would probably only serve to increase the jealousy.

Muhammad (S) also told us, "Nothing is left of prophethood except glad tidings." Those with him asked, "What are glad tidings?" He (S) replied, "Good dreams." (Sahih Al-Bukhari)
    Bad Dreams
As stated above bad dreams are from Shaitan. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) told us what to do upon seeing a bad dream. "So when one of you sees a dream which he does not like, he should spit on his left side three times, seek refuge with Allah from Shaitan thrice, and change the side which he was lying (Sahih Muslim) and in another narration in Muslim, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) told us if we spit three times and seek refuge from Allah then it (the dream) will not harm them." (Sahih Muslim).

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) also told us that if we saw a bad dream to "stand up and offer prayer." (Sahih Muslim).

Bad Dreams Should Not Be Disclosed
Muhammad (S) said, ...If he has a dream that he dislikes, then it is from Shaitan. He should seek refuge with Allah from its evil, and he SHOULD NOT MENTION IT TO ANYBODY, then it will not harm him." (Sahih Al-Bukhari). If one does tell somebody about the bad dream then there could be the chance that some harm will come out of it.

    Dreams from One's Self
These dreams come from one's thoughts and are neither from Allah or Shaitan.
    -------------------------
Okay so now we will go into your dream InshaAllah. According to your dreams I will try to give the most relevant interpretations from Ibn Sirin's dictionary of dreams. And as there are many interpretations your dream it will be broken down into its factors. My Allah grant us ease and guidance.

Giving Salam to someone not known to him(the dreamer) it means that he any get married in a foreign land.
Greeting someone in a dream means receiving benefits from him.If one sees an unknown old man greeting him in a dream, it means safety from the divine chastisement for one's sins.If one is seeking marriage, then the greetings mean a positive reply for the proposal.

An Imam in a dream represents the spiritual leader of all Muslims.

The chair symbolizes a pledge or a contract. It is a harbinger of safety.(as I am unsure of your martial status, job etc. There will be many interpretations and you must choose which refers to you best.)
A chair in the house: (1) Joy and happiness. (2) A reference to a wife or a child. In a dream, a chair represents authority, rank or a woman. An iron cast chair in a dream represents power and superiority. If it is a wooden chair, then it means less than that beside added hypocrisy. If one qualifies for governing or for managing a business, then sitting on a chair in a dream means receiving such an appointment. If a traveller sees himself sitting on a chair in a dream, it means that he will return to his homeland to be reunited with his family and to attain his goals. In a dream, a rocking chair means intelligence, clarity, or it could represent a hard working student. A sedan chair in a dream means moving from one place to another, activities, travels, business, or a noble and a well respected woman.

The door lintel ( frame/support/doorstep) in a dream also represents a woman or the house bottler. If a governor sees the doorsteps of his house being removed in a dream, it means that he will be impeached. Whatever happens to the doorsteps in a dream should be interpreted as relating to one's wife or a woman.

As for the food the imam was eating there are interpretations for many foods, so it depends what he was eating.

(Assuming the daughters were little) In any case, the sight of a little girl in a dream is a good augury, unless there is something unpleasant about her.
    • Seeing a pretty little girl: Benefits and welfare.Seeing a baby girl of milk suckling age is even better in a dream. It means a new and a praiseworthy development in one's life, or it could mean receiving benefits one is hoping for, or living a new world.(if they were young women)If she is not known to him, she symbolises his current year. Further, if she is beautiful and healthy and she is seen speaking to him or giving him something or he sees himself hugging her or making love to her it means the current year will prove profitable and fruitful for him. If not beautiful, the year will prove a disaster.

Lastly, the ripe guava tree was present or in fact anything related to guava. So instead I searched the term fruit.---Fresh fruits in a dream denote money that does not last. (Depending on the season/weather you dreamed if you can recall) If one sees a tree that bears fruit in warm weather bearing fruit in the winter in a dream, it means that he will associate with someone expecting to make a business deal, though their friendship will end in wasting time and money. A fruit that grows or which is plucked in cluster or as bunch in a dream means love and unity. Imported fruits in a dream represent their country of origin. Fruits in a dream also represent one's wife, children, business agreements, exchanging knowledge, good deeds, family reunion, weddings, recovering from sickness or recovering lost money

    ----------------------
If these are dreams of the subconscious or the shaytaan, then dreams sound like very good dreams MashaAllah. As I am not educated both in interpreting and the your entire situation, I must leave it to you to decide the final verdict.

May Allah guide us. Please take care, remember me your duas.
    Salam
