should i leave my husband?

i have been married for 6 years and have a 3 year old son. my husband is a pathological liar. he drinks and i have also caught video clips of him with with his friends and other girls. when i asked him he made up stories to cover up and even hit me because i was angry about it and mad at him. i have still been trying to carry on with him.
recently i met someone on the internet and got involved (texting and chatting) but havent met him. im not sure if i should leave my husband for him or not because if i leave him i will be embarrased and my family. i have no one else to turn for help as i had a love marriage. my parents dont want to know about my problems.
please help

Yes you should leave. If your both not 100% committed to the relationship then it will never work. Your child no matter how young they are feel the tension and will develop a misunderstanding on how a true marriage should be. There is no reason to continue being unhappy, like is too short. Getting out of the relationship is one of the hardest things you will ever do, but in the long run you and your child will be much happier. Don't get me wrong, once you do it, you will have good days and bad days, you will have doubts. But one day.. you will realize it was for the best.
