My brother sick, has black magic caused this?
Asalaamo Alaikum!
My brother who is 29 years old, is too sick from last 2 months. The doctor diagnosed liver cirrhosis, but they are unable to find the cause.
We as having too much enemies in our family suspected that some one do a magic on it.
Is it possible that using magic you can give someone severe disease, and how do we know that it's the attack of magic. If it is magic what the cure for this one?
Please reply soon. Me and my family are in very much miserable condition.

I am sorry to hear about your brothers illness. May it be a purification for him and may Allah swt cure him of this ailment.
I am reluctant to comment on the issue of black magic. Yes it is real, but it is often blamed for many illnesses and troubles. Black magic is not that common. I believe that it can however cause disease (and Allah knows best.)
I am not sure how to tell. What I do advise is to stay away from anything which may be shirk to remove it. The Prophet said, "If somebody takes some 'Ajwa dates every morning, he will not be effected by poison or magic on that day till night." (Another narrator said seven dates). However check that dates will not worsen your brothers cirrhosis.
Make sure you all read Surah Ikhas, Surah Falaq and Surah Naas 3x each before magrib and fajr and once after each salat. Of course guard your salat. These are your protection. Read ayatul kursi after each salat and before you sleep.
If you know the person who has done it, they can do wudu and the person afflicted can wash in this water (please correct me if I am wrong on this one brothers and sister - And Allah knows best)
Make dua for your brother of course and exercise patience. All of us, regardless of whether we have enemies or not should protect ourselves with the 3 surahs 3x magrib and fajr and of course salat.
Yahya related to me from Malik that Muhammad ibn Abi Umama ibn Sahl ibn Hunayf heard his father say, "My father, Sahl ibn Hunayf did a ghusl at al-Kharrar. He removed the jubbah he had on while Amir ibn Rabia was watching, and Sahl was a man with beautiful white skin. Amir said to him, 'I have never seen anything like what I have seen today, not even the skin of a virgin.' Sahl fell ill on the spot, and his condition grew worse. Somebody went to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and told him that Sahl was ill, and could not go with him. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, came to him, and Sahl told him what had happened with Amir. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'Why does one of you kill his brother? Why did you not say, "May Allah bless you?" (ta baraka-llah) The evil eye is true. Do wudu from it.' Amir did wudu from it and Sahl went with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and there was nothing wrong with him."
Book 50, Number 50.1.2:
Also avoid suspicion - it may be that your brother is simply ill due to natural causes. Cirrhosis can happen through so many causes - many are not easily to see. Infection with a virus, taking too many drugs or certain combinations can cause liver damage and cirrhosis. I am not a doctor but these are a few examples.
Do istighfaar (seek Allahs forgiveness) continously is also another way of seeking a cure.
I pray that Allah restores your brothers health.

Sounds so sad to me those kind of thoughts, I thank you with all my Heart that you have shared this with us, Alhamdulillah.
Focus on facts, your brother is sick and needs medical attention, urgently, his problem has solutions, can be treated then go ahead and put him under medical observance and treatment, insha´Allah.
If you feed thoughts of "maybe others made this to us", you will be allowing the evil enter for the big door in you and your family´s Heart, will weaken yourself, him and everyone around, you don´t want that in your life, even if you have a full city against you, nobody could move a finger if Allah(swt) stops them of doing it, then please trust Allah(swt) and focus yourself on the Light of Allah(swt), insha´Allah.
Then what do you need now? You need to be a strong Light to your brother and to your family, anytime they doubt, tell them doubt and fear are cousins between them and directly related to evil, we want the opposite, we want strenght, endurance, firmness, straightness, flexibility, trust, to help him to heal, insha´Allah, always with Allah(swt) help and guidance. Then if you see any of your family doubting, focus on Allah(swt) tell them to look for refuge in Allah(swt) "Audhu billahi minash shaytanii rajim", tell them to do their salat, to make du´a, to be focus on the Light of Allah(swt) in His Almighty Power to Heal him if he wants to in the blink of an eye, insha´Allah.
Get up, smile from Heart, trust Allah(swt), pray, take your brother to the doctors and do all that you have in your hand to make him find the straight Path and the strength he needs to heal, insha´Allah.
Be a shining, healing Light to all around you, insha´Allah.

When a person has a liver problem normally has the tendency to be choleric, it is very difficult for them to control their anger, this is not magic is a condition that will improve once the problem is healed, insha´Allah.
They don´t necessary will have a reason, anything can be the reason to be on bad mood, be patience, please, explain this to your family and don´t argue with him, he is just sick.
Related to food, you should avoid all the spices and excitants in his food, no coffea, tea or chocolate, teas of dandelion are fine, not too much sugar in general, little baked food, none fried for a while, not animal fat, animal protein with vegetables, good quality vegetable oil in small amounts, a little piece of fruit before eating chewing it very well. Everyday greens. Small quantities dairies and eggs. This is general for him to help him a bit with the diet.
Walks where he can be with green grass around, green trees, that would be healing too, insha´Allah.
Don´t push him to do it, just give him the idea and let him tell you, imagine that now he has the energy of a general, and you all are his team, then he would want all of you to do everything as a straight order, let him be and use left hand to let him think he is the one giving you the option and the permit to take him out, insha´Allah.

yeah it is possible.....to avoid such magic one should do recite Surah Naas, Ayatul kursi and first and last Ruku of Surah Bakra with regular 5 times prayers......and Remember ALLAH CONTROLS EVERYTHING

I do not blame the black magic as when people have problems they soon point out black magic is the cause for everything, people's imaan is weak if they do this or think this. I know it does exists but i dont believe such thing sorry believe in allah. You need to read Ayatul Kursi, namaz and inshallah all your problems will be resolved. Sister maria's advice is really useful and one you should focus on and i wish you the best and hope your brother gets better very soon inshallah ameen
salam brothers and sisters it is to do with jealous that why people do it i was suffering from black magic too so it is people are jealous of others that why in islam they can do black magic on anyone cause it is forbidden to do black magic on anyone
To the OP how is your brother now?
I honestly don't understand that, being muslims, everybody is downplaying 'sihr' and other related sources of evil....the reality is that they DO exist..i can give you personal examples as well as those of alot of people i know...this is a reality, and islam provides us many cures to this..why do you think there are so many du'aa just to protect oneself from these evils??
Anyways the moderate and balanced approach is to apply appropriate Ruqya, while seeking medical attention as well...alot of times medicine is ineffective in these situations, until the Ruqya is applied on a regular basis..your best bet would be to seek advice from a knowledgable Sheikh, which would be of benefit...and remember its not one or the other..seek the cure from all sources

There is no basis in Islam to believe that magic or the devil can cause illness. Unfortunately it is such a common believe among muslims today. Magic is real but it alter perception not causing illness. Sickness come with blessing and forgiveness of sins. How can the devil be the agent of blessing and forgiveness?
