Confused if I can have Nikkah

I live in a western country. I separated from my non-Muslim husband in December 2016 after marriage counselling and trying to patch things up for years. I reverted to Islam in March 2017. My non-Muslim ex-husband will not grant me legal divorce until child custody arrangements have been finalized. This could take a few more months. I have been approached by a Muslim man and asked for Nikkah. I am unsure if I can proceed with Nikkah as I am not legally divorced, but not married in an Islamic way. Can I go ahead with Nikkah?

    What do you know about this man? Is he marrying you for a visa or Citizenship? How this man "find you"?

    Yes you can do Nikah with muslim man
