Assalam o Alaikum,
My question is not related to marriage thing. I have a different question and I dont have anyone to ask.
I just want to know what does Black or dark heart and soul means ? In general and according to Islam. Someone I know has said me that I have a black heart (spiritually) and I am very upset since then. I sometimes feel myself close to Allah and our Deen
But sometimes I have to accept that I commit sin. I was in sexual relationship but virtually which includes some chats and pornography. I feel guilty about that I regret those moments.
Do I really have a black heart ? What does actually black heart means ?
What should I do to purify my heart ?
Please help me, I dont want to die as ignorant.

Are you going to accept every thing any one says about you?
Yes we all have some black spots .Some more then others.Eyes mouth ears are channels to the heart. We should repent and learn Deen properly.Master quran salah and fast every mon. This is a life journey of every practising muslim. There is no rest .Rest is in Jannah!!Don't you think if you are excepted to go hajj and Allah except your Hajj. Then he will forgive you of all your sins?So we must prepare!
what were they responding to or what was the conversation about? Was the response from Muslim person, or someone you share your failures with?
If it was said in West I'm almost sure it was meant as joke such as "figuratively" meaning being naughty.
Abu Hurairah (raa) narrated: Allah’s Messenger May peace be upon Him said :
“When a slave (of Allah) commits a sin (an evil deed) a black dot is dotted on his heart. Then if that person gives up that evil deed (sin), begs Allah to forgive him, and repents, then his heart is cleared (from that heart covering dot); but if he repeats the evil deed (sin), then that covering is increased till his heart is completely covered with it. And this is Ar-Ran that Allah mentioned (in the Quran),
“Nay! but on their hearts is the Ar-Ran (covering of evil deeds and sins) which they used to earn” (83:14)”
